I can do you one better. I get the message: "We just shipped your item, here's the tracking number."
Used the tracking number to see when the package would arrive - of course it's arriving Tursday at 10am. When I'm at school.
But wait, I can change the delivery time? Er, no. I can only change the date. To Friday ... morning. When I'm at school.
But! I can change that to "don't try the home address, divert to depot pickup immediately"! Did that, got a message that, yes, the package would arrive at the depot on Thursday. At the time of the message the package actually already was at the depot!
Then I arrived at the depot today - no package? Why? Because it's out for delivery. Fucking numbnuts.

@Rhywden Well here's another. I think I mentioned it a few pages back. I'd ordered these coins with Ben Franklin on them. Two months go by, no update. No way to check order status, because it's broken (surprise), so I e-mail the only address I have inquiring about my order. Five business days go by and no response, so, being in a bad mood, I file a chargeback. Credit card company sends me a letter telling me I filed a chargeback (no, really? i did? thanks so much for notifying me!) and then another telling me it was successful. A few days after that, I get a shipment notice and now I have these coins. Now, normally I am an honest person. I thought about mailing them a money order, since I know they won't be able to figure out how to reverse the chargeback or rerun the charge. But I also know, if I mail that money order, they'll figure out how to charge me twice. So I'm going to do nothing even though it's wrong because I don't want more shit to deal with.

My first smartphone was an iPaq (
). I was super excited for it, I literally waited by my front door waiting for the package to arrive. So I know it was a 
when they informed me that no one answered the door to receive the package. I ended up walking to the Fedex station in icy weather to get it (I had no car at the time).

If it wasn't delivered yesterday, I was supposed to call today. I did. After a bit of voicemail tag (mostly because T-Mobile is stupid and sends calls straight to voicemail instead of ringing my phone ā if it's a call I actually want; spam calls, of course, come right through), I spoke several times with the manager of online order pickup. The delivery company apparently picked it up from the store last night or early this morning, before she got in. But it's over their weight limit, so they won't deliver it. (This may also have happened one or more times earlier in the week.) After talking to the delivery company, the online ordering people at Walmart.com, and escalating all the way to the regional manger (boss+2, at least, for her) and not getting any answers she liked, the store manager and her immediate supervisor were going to deliver it themselves some time this afternoon or evening, depending on the weather; it's been raining heavily on and off today, and they didn't want to deliver a soggy box that would disintegrate when they tried to unload it from the boss's(?) pick-up truck. But then I got another voicemail saying "something came up, and we're looking at Saturday" now. Also, the online ordering people may be removing it from the website, because they can't actually deliver it.

Status: Today someone mentioned Hypatia was down.
Apparently the certificates expired and it's been 9 days since anyone noticed.
This is what prompted my most recent adventure in General Help, because upon accessing the server I couldn't due to the expired certificate, so I backdoored the connection via another bouncer server so I could Remote Desktop in.
Where I discovered the mess that's apparently caused by shit.
I kinda wonder when the shit will hit my house's fan, because it's set up very similarly...

I had something similar happen with a UPS package a few years ago. They tried to deliver to my apartment while I was at work and called me. I said I wasn't there to receive it, and asked if I could redirect it to my local UPS store or some other location. Nope, they'll try again tomorrow, and the next day, then send it back to the sender. Then I asked if there was any other alternative. They said I could come to the UPS "customer center" at the end of the day, when the driver would return with his undelivered packages, and pick it up. But I had to thread the needle to get there after that, but before the depot closed for the day.
Anyway, somehow I managed to leave work a bit early, get there on time, and carry the box on a several hour bus trip home.

As long as the worst things it does are visual changes, and it continues to give more of a shit about privacy then Firefox is the good browser.
And even with the default themes, I'll probably just complain about it for a couple of weeks then get used to it which is what I imagine most people do.

@loopback0 I use tree style tab anyway so the top tab bar is irrelevant to me. But if they take away userchrome, it'll be there, useless, with no way to get rid of it.

Anyone want a soft-bricked XBox One S Slim white that only doesn't work because of a short somewhere in the disc drive?

No, and yes I could get into Developer Mode.... if I could get the fucking thing to boot properly.
It is currently stuck in "I need to update, fuck you if you want me to do anything else" mode, and is completely incapable of finishing said update because of the issues with the optical drive.
This is the world we live in: Where your computer can effectively be bricked because the genuine parts happened to not be linked together with magic codes properly.

Status: I fucking hate Sonicwall.
Trying to get a NAT rule to work properly. According to all guides and the built-in wizard, it should be, but is not. Being blocked at the firewall module because apparently the rule for "From WAN to LAN, source ANY to ANY, via Service 8443, Allow" is not matching.
If I add the rule "Fuck, if ANYTHING AT ALL comes in, let it through!" it works.

It's too soon to be sure, but I think the new meds are helping.
I'm as surprised as anyone. After reading all the warnings, possible side-effects, and mechanism it works by (dopamine agonist? Don't I want more of that stuff, not less?) I was expecting a bad time.

@error mild agonist makes sense in the way circuit breakers make sense, kinda puts you on a drip maybe. De Sade has already treated with wildly decreasing quality on the side effects of the traditional approach. Which are, Toby Faire, all external costs.

(In the process of transforming tea of boiliness into tea of iciness, because caffeine, but something else TBD in the meantime.) Next step is putting casters on the base, then I will wheel it inside to finish working on it where air conditioning exists.

@HardwareGeek agonists don't necessarily cause the same response tho. See Narcan. They bind the same receptor, but (undefined behavior). Consider them call compatible with implementation differences. Because polymorphism is a dream of academics amirite.
