Status: Frustrated that Earth 72 resumes don't translate over whatever Earth I've been mailing applications to.
A
moresuccessful friend offered to look over my resume and sent me his for comparison. I don't know what to think of it. Aside from using very small font and no lines to separate anything anywhere, it's not particularly specific on anything but the dates. For example, I keep getting knocked for people not understanding that I worked with .NET because I don't end every bullet point with "using .NET." Then I read something like "implemented a corporate knowledge innovation strategy" or "mentored a diverse team through a major initiative" and . I'm not trying to critique this but there's exactly one position on mine that reads like this and it's where I am now.
I've altered mine to look a little more like this but I really feel wrong about adding "risk taking collaborator dedicated to diverse opportunities in excellence and leadership and communication and punching Nazis" to the summary. I'm a programmer, not a bullshit factory.

Same reason I hate job searches and resume writing. But sadly, the job search requires producing copious quantities of . Or so they tell me. I'm not very good at it either.

That's easy! I just make a .Gallery folder and use an alternate program to ride it!

Don't feel bad. I think we'll all be happy to write no-bullshit resumes the day hiring people stop demanding bullshit in the resumes.

Besides, the whole comment was a joke anyways, based on the obviously false pretense of assuming that his car has WiFi cameras. Every car has a traffic camera now, but most of them are not connected anywhere.
Fun point: my car has wifi cameras. Genuinely. It means I can pull off images and videos — historic or live — without having to plug anything in; the front camera is an access point (that only leads to the camera system, and yes, it is secured; configuring that requires taking the memory card out and using a small application on a normal computer).

I just switched from Amazon Music Unlimited to Spotify Premium. So far, it seems to have more songs and a much better app.
I was listening a podcast from Spotify through the Bluetooth in my car, and then I logged in to my computer and the PC app cloud-synced my place in the podcast.
That's neat.

Status: The nice thing about Hearts of Iron is that even if you're cheating, you can still lose if you're not careful. The war with USSR was terrifying. Because I played as Italy, I had no way to invade Vladivostok, and it has enough victory points that even after taking Moscow and everything west of it, they still wouldn't surrender. So I decided to attack some random nation in East Asia to get a nice spot to run naval invasion from. The farthest I could go was Thailand, and only from the southwest side, so my marines would have no reinforcements until they fought their way to Bangkok, and they'd all die if they failed. Whatever, hit the boats boys.
So I was in the middle of manifesting my destiny in Asia, when suddenly Emperor Harakiri decided to join the war after I've done 97% of the work (according to in-game score counter). Japanese stormed Russian land, Vladivostok fell, and it was over. The peace conference went very well, actually - a fair split of Russia: Japan got the island of
SakhalinKarafuto, I've got everything else. The end result is Italy that looks quite a bit better than the last time. The funny thing is, I didn't plan to go into war with USSR at all. It just happened, and I was totally unprepared because all my armies were occupied with conquer of Turkey, conquer of Spain and preparing for conquer of Netherlands. Also, the fascist coups in India and Canada that I totally had nothing to do with, both failed. This makes me sad.

@hungrier The original point was this FUD that someone would have a car with no usable battery. Tesla offers an unlimited battery warranty (if you so choose), others offer 8+ years. If you compare that to the (economical) lifespan of a modern car then that suddenly does not like quite as bad.
Again, the battery would be the least of my concerns if I was driving a car that had software someone could remotely disable from Tesla HQ.

@error I had done a risky image search but didn't get far enough to see if any such thing existed for Geralt. At least in the part I saw, none of the tits were his

The bike and car scene in Sweden has overdone the coolfiber thing about as much as gaming has done with RGB.

maybe it would look even cooler with some RGB lights on it ...

Great, my fucking mouse scroll wheel is broken again.
Do you know how annoying a broken scroll wheel is? The answer is very. Very annoying.
-
@anonymous234 Not as annoying as a broken left click, I'll bet. Two of the mice I've used at work have succumbed to intermittent left click problems. Either it won't click when you do, or it'll click multiple times in succession, or it'll let go and pick up when you're dragging
