you should do that anyway. If work is directlky causing you to need their services, then that sounds like a business expense to me.
If work won't pay it submit it to the IRS as a business expense instead.

People say murdering for fun is a "crime" and "wrong" but the real crime is living in a society.
That's the lesson we all ought to take away from "Joker" according to a bunch of videos that YouTube keeps recommending me.

and then prepare for a religious war the likes of which the world has not seen since the days of the great EMACS/VI wars......

My sleep, such as it was, was populated with recurrent, incoherent, and poorly remembered dreams of some node-based graphical programming language. (I blame too much time in Blender. And my son; he gave me his illness of the "coughing all night, watering eyes, and just enough fever to put my brain into mode" variety that interfered with my sleep.) The nodes may have represented either graphical transformations of some sort, or historical events (or both — incoherent and poorly remembered). If they were events, I think I may have been trying to get information about history and/or modify it by reconnecting the nodes to bypass some events.

Yeah, Toyota in their infinite wisdom decided that the internal fusebox should contain no more and no fewer fuses than absolutely necessary, so if I went that route I'd need to create a new fusebox for that...
Unless it's an issue of absolutely no room, you should still be able to. It plugs into one of the existing fuse slots and gives you two slots: one for the original fuse, and another for the fuse for the thing itself, and a wire coming out to do the needful.
Geez, and here I thought everything had to get plugged into those cigarette lighter socket things.
I r teh car n00bs.

I MADE MY OWN BELTS THIS WEEKEND!
needed a belt. wanted a webbing based belt but all the ones out there are:
- Like 5 inches wide.... why do I need a WWE World Championship sized belt?
- 100+$ FUCKING HELL?!!?! FOR SOME COTTON NYLON MIX WEBBING AND SOME STEEL HARDWARE?!
- Ugly as fuck. Seriously Guys. Paisly is so last century.
- All of the above
so I went to the local craft store, bought four lengths of 30mm nylon webbing, four steel rectangular "hammer-on" aglets, eight steel rectangualr "d rings" (despite the fact that they are in fact rectangular shaped not D shaped)
this cost me 40$, about what i would expect to pay for the cheapest belt i could find that would fit.
then i spent several episodes of Futurama burning the ends of the nylon webbing to prevent fraying (without setting my own fur on fire! WOO!) trying (unsuccessfully) not to stab myself with a needle as I sewed the rings in one end of the belt, then tried not to hit my hands with the hammer to securely attach the aglets to the free ends (mostly successfully, but i did glue the aglets to my hands multiple times because i had the bright idea to put superglue in them before hammering to increase the hold strength.......

If you can make that, you can make all sorts of fun toys.
And there's quite a market for such...

I've got about a bazillion checks in my health module that should detect when the bot needs to restart itself, and it will try to do so.
The part that's still dodgy is if the shutdown/startup process can cope with the server being unavailable (either because of my shitty ISP or because of server cooties).
Oh, and Windows 10 remains a wildcard (BSODs and updates are always possible).
-
I guess I can just put it in airplane mode for a while and see what happens.

error_bot should bring itself back up now when my Internet connection goes down or the site goes down.

Confirmed an entirely unpleasant experience.
-
Crosswords now have multi-level undo/redo, which is neat.
Especially since I've had two incidents where a new command lost game state data while testing.
-
Every module uses immutable state objects, which makes it trivial for me to save a state history for each one and walk over it.
-
Status: If I'm reading the docs correctly, the main reason why you might want to spawn something deferred is to make adjustments to it before the blueprint constructors run (or something). But if that's the case, why are we immediately finishing the spawn in the two-step process instead of straight-up spawning it???

Status: I'm mathing wrong it seams. If I have a vector (representing scale) of 0.5 in all axis, and I multiply it by a vector of 0.75 on all axis, I should be getting a resultant vector of 0.375 on all axis, no?
For some reason UE4's getting me a result of 0.075...

@Tsaukpaetra I'm surprised you're not getting 0, because that'd be the cross product in this case…
What's the actual name of the method you're calling? Do all the vectors have the values you think they do?
-
@kazitor said in The Official Status Thread:

Cross is a different function, at least according to the code.
@kazitor said in The Official Status Thread:

The name is
operator *
And you were on to something. For whatever reason, the in-game values are not the in-editor values.
I believe it's turning them into world-values (as opposed to relative), so I fixed it by dividing the actor's world scale first and then multiplying.
What a bunch of bullshit...

Status: We've decided to combine two of our main git repositories into one; the reasons for the split in the first place are now long gone, and it has made some of the code ugly. But this means we need to merge lots of issues and pull requests over too. It's currently at the stage of madly committing all the small changes that have been hanging around for a while. Busy busy busy...
The actual code move will be later this week (we hope) and we'll leave the integration tests behind to start with so our existing CI flow can find all the places we fuck up before we merge to master. The integration tests (actually fairly thorough tests including of our custom hardware) will go later.
