Stepping through the code andsourceSlot

Maybe? I could add brackets to line 283, but that doesn't seem to matter.

As it stands, it seems to be working in almost all cases, the most exceptional being emplacing an item in an already-occupied-slot, but that's because two consecutive swap operations are occurring because I have a dumb and can't simultaneously tell the thing that's already there to bugger off to fields unknown while also swapping the intended item in its place.

Sometimes, refactoring is about making stuff work in the first place. It is much easier to debug code when it isn't so deeply nested, and I notice that you already have multiple nesting levels for that code and it seems to have good local integrity so it is even more a good candidate for breaking into it's own thing...

This and a not-insignificant amount of copy-pasta will be crunched away come monday for sure...

@Tsaukpaetra debugging a release build (“variable is optimized away”)? Basically, assume the debugger is wrong about everything.
Also, does that map really store pointers to ints? Weird flex.

No, but I think it makes a pointer to an int as a way to provide a

UE4 is magical. It's not technically a release build, but it uses optimizations. I'll see about getting it to do an actual debug build, but compiling will take several hours so...

Status: finally installed the power wire for my dash cam, so now there isn't a long-ass wire hanging down draping across the visor and trying to stay out of the way of anyone potentially sitting in the passenger seat.
I would have hooked up the reverse-facing camera as well, but I disappeared the right-angle connector and would have involved bolts and things, so the adjusted work/risk/time said current progress was sufficient for today.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I did the same a little while ago, but waited to install the dashcam until after I figured out how to deal with the cord. But I'm also considering getting a fuse box wiring kit to free up the power socket

Yeah, Toyota in their infinite wisdom decided that the internal fusebox should contain no more and no fewer fuses than absolutely necessary, so if I went that route I'd need to create a new fusebox for that...
And considering I'm only adding the dashcam and a few LED lights... Maybe sometime later.

Unless it's an issue of absolutely no room, you should still be able to. It plugs into one of the existing fuse slots and gives you two slots: one for the original fuse, and another for the fuse for the thing itself, and a wire coming out to do the needful.

Have that. Decided it was ugly as fuck. With my solution you don't even know it's there.

Yes, and using one of those devices literally prevents me from using the cover.
Yes, literally, the cover is exactly the dimensions necessary to cover the fuses with no extra room. Introducing the little adapter thing exceeds the boundaries allowed by the cover and thus will not work.
-
@Tsaukpaetra You've opened my horizons and convinced me that fuse boxes don't all look like this and give you enough room to build and operate an aircraft carrier under the cover:

Yeah, my prior Tacoma had lots of room and I had no issues. New one? Not so much.
It has caused me to rethink my normal method of smashing through and getting it done.
