I guess Pakistan isn't so bad after all. If that happened in North Korea, people would be fed to the dogs.

It can happen. NodeBB's search function appears to be imperfect. Sometimes I go to Google's Advanced Search just to do a search on TDWTF.

In Korea people eat dogs.
In Soviet Korea dogs eat people.

A train stops in front of Ham Orchards in Terrell, TX where the conductor gets off, goes inside, and comes back out with two cups of ice cream. The family-owned fruit orchard, started in 1979, has a tradition of giving free ice cream to the crews of passing trains if they stop.

If it happened in China, they’d be organ-harvested.
If it happened in Saudi Arabia, they’d be dismembered alive.

@topspin 2 out of 6. I feel so adult!
@error_bot !xkcd adult

@Gąska Which 2? I've got the macaroni and vacuuming down pat, but I'm not quite sure if I've ever existentially dreaded correctly.

I've only ever done one of those six - vacuuming a rug and also only when I was a child so not sure if that counts.
-
All 6 done multiple times. I'd say 'countless', but I have only like 6 or 7 ties.
When it comes to fighting existential dread, I'm rather on the loosing side.
-
I think the only one I do with any frequency is making macaroni. I do think I bought a new tie in the last year (grandfather's funeral, last-minute because I'd forgot to bring one). Vacuuming, and cleaning the house in general, is delegated to the hired help because if I need to do it myself it doesn't get done.
Hm, does bicycling to work (15min each way) count as cardio?

Then it's not cardio.
Cardio is when you'd rather go drink beer with your buddies or watch a movie lying on a couch, but instead you clench your teeth and do mindless repetitive exercise in a sad and desperate attempt to push away death and bring back your long gone youth.

The cardio I did Monday rather felt like it would be cause of sudden, premature death.

When I used to bike to work, that's what I thought of.

Mine isn't as dramatic but I do have a rational fear of breaking my toes ever since I started using heavier ropes while skipping.

No, but inviting persisting thoughts of death to everyday situations is definitely the right way to go.

Not everyone shares the author's (lack of) sense of humour.

@HardwareGeek I assumed the author was joking, considering the rest of the sentence.
-
@loopback0 The author says four times in the article that is isn't funny, is humourless, or is only slightly humourous. When someone says something that many times, in the absence of unequivocal sarcasm, I assume they believe they believe it's true.

Pfft. Not hardly. I have to cross one major road and a bus lane with traffic lights, a minor road without traffic lights, and drive at least 200m along a road which is also used by cars and trucks.
