I don't know much about this as social media has played a refreshingly absent role in my life so far.
But I'm sure others know more and have things to share.

It's blocked me from updating our app on the Oculus Store.
Because, all the actual uploading is done, it just can't set the manifest (essentially, a list of the block hashes for this release). Haven't been able to do it all day, and there's currently a game-nauseating bug that causes the world to move along with you at double speed if you're in VR.

Opposite. If you sway, it's like you dashed. I didn't notice because I usually don't stand in VR.

The main effect I saw was that my wife got up from the computer in the other room and came and sat with me on the couch while I was watching some recorded boxing matches.

I'm just getting going (barely into first coffee)... I'll have to find it. On the other hand, it didn't affect me much - because this is my work-time-waster!
(which meant once I caught up here, and couldn't read there, I miiiight have accomplished a little more...)

Must have been at least partially fixed by now. Initially I saw something which mentioned whatsapp was affected, but I got a couple of messages on the family group an hour ago.

It seems to be a case of "The Internet broke and it just happened to affect Facebook, which apparently is a big deal to some people".
