@RaceProUK said in Twitter onebox is fucking mental:
In this post on Chrome latest, the onebox keeps ocillating between two sizes, and it's really annoying.
@ben_lubar, you've been playing with inlined stuff recently: any ideas?
Oh, and before anyone asks, I'm running no userscripts.

Here he would have won the election
He thinks he did.
The Labour leader shocked many by starting an interview with Sky News by saying: “We have been elected to…”
He continued by outlining his plans for a Labour government and admitted he was ready to form a coalition with fellow Westminster parties.
He then reiterated “it’s pretty clear” Labour won the election.

I was talking about lord buckethead. Have a flier of our most voted congressman with more than 1.3 million votes.

He's a fictional character, from the movie "Gremloids" (aka "Hyperspace"), which starred both Chris Elliot and Paula Poundstone, although they don't appear in any scenes together.
Enjoy this action sequence in which Ms Poundstone and a friend flee Lord B.H. and his henchmen in a flying shopping cart:

Just think of how long a prison sentence he would have been in for if he had been showing the kids judo chops.

edit: it got pretty repetitive by the end though.

South Western trains are a huge improvement over Southern, if only for the funny.

Ya'll s will appreciate this:

@Yamikuronue hm. But then, if it was supposed to be "thou" in the singular instead of "you", then what's it supposed to be in the singular instead of "they"? I can't think of anything that correlates. "Yey" (but, wouldn't that be backward then)? "Thatun" (ovah they'uh)? "Him" (omg I just assumed zhe's gender)?
-
@Yamikuronue TIL thou is the correct form for singular second person.
-
@anotherusername said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

If thou can't figure the gender, use "it"

"Yey" reads the same in both directions.

@Karla That particular expression can repeatedly paralyze someone talking to people from NZ for the first time:
"Aye that's sweet as, bro", "cool as!", etc are probably the most common positive exclamations there, but the closest thing people from elsewhere have heard of is the above.
-
@wharrgarbl said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:

Then southerners got a hold on the language and it became "you" and "yall".
-
@xaade the distinction is actually quite useful. I've always thought that dropping thou was a mistake.
Of course, some go so far as "all y'all". I guess there's something more plural that a simple plural?
-
-
@Benjamin-Hall said in The Official Funny Stuff Thread™:
all y'all
i use it for emphasis e.g. Do all yall do x?
-
@bb36e I can understand that usage. I've heard it where y'all was used as a singular and all y'all was the plural.

Yeah, we never acclimated our bitch to that. As a consequence she's deathly afraid of the Clippers and will hide if someone even mentions nails. Now she has inch long nails and has issues walking, but I haven't the time to sedate her at a vets so we can cut her feet off...
