@abarker I like that the cameraman was obviously another idiot cyclist doing the same thing (except even closer to the middle vehicle), and yet they still seemed proud enough of it to release the footage.

Of course, we could lower the floor and ceiling, but the driveshaft would be higher than the floor. This would have disadvantages.Love the deadpan delivery there.

Because of one idiot? How many videos do I need to find of car drivers doing stupid before keeping cars off the road is an appropriate response?

There are quite a few drivers that are stupid and therefore "do stupid" whatever that means.
It's pretty rare though to see someone being dangerously reckless and agressive - let's say once a week or one per a couple thousand cars I encounter.Pretty much every cyclist I've seen runs red lights, stop signs, weaves between cars overtaking stopped traffic on the right and on the left, jumps on and off sidewalks (why can't they just stay there where they belong) and generally doesn't give a fuck about any rules.
While absolute number of bad drivers might be larger than that of bad cyclists (thankfully there aren't that many over here), the percentage of bad cyclists is overwhelming.

It's insane how the most vulnerable road users are also among the most aggressive. And what's more, those same cyclists will never admit that they're being dangerous: it's always everyone else's fault for not anticipating they kamikaze-esque behaviour.
80kg of human and 5kg of bike vs. 1500kg of car. Guess who wins.

Unless it's both upside down and flipped horizontally.

It is. The part of the flag that's meant to be attached to the flagpole is on the right, which means the red stripe on the top right in the photo should be against the side edge, not the top.
We may not value our flag with quite the same passion as the US sees the Stars and Stripes, but we do place a lot of importance in getting it the right way up, since when upside-down, it's a coded distress signal.

Is that because the ones doing stupid shit are the more noticeable ones, so the ones you see and remember?

Possibly it was posted to illustrate the cariarchy and how everyone else on the road is behaving irresponsibly towards innocent law-abiding cyclists.

I only added "pretty much" before because there are occasions where I overtake a cyclist on a straight stretch of road with no traffic lights or intersections so they are limited in their options of doing something stupid. I literally can't remember a time when I saw a cyclist use traffic lights correctly, the best ones are stopping just a few meters after the stop line and starting to ride only when the cross-traffic gets red (still a couple seconds before they would get green).

Because the white bit on the edge is where you put the pole:

@RaceProUK ...that doesn't seem to make a very noticeable distress signal...

@Yamikuronue Not compared to today's tech, no. But back in 1801, when the (current) Union Flag was first introduced, we didn't have long-range radios, distress flares, or satellite communications :P

In old naval warfare that still gives you two hours before the first shots are fired.
Also, the big red patch surrounding the union jack on three sides on the naval flag is helpful.

If a flag is not attached to a pole, most nations prescribe it should be presented as if the pole is on the left-hand side.

He should try the German Autobahn then. One moron per kilometer driven.

I assume that the reason there's no speed limit is to pass the morons faster?

I loved the German Autobahns, I can't say I have a lot of experience with them but I did drive through Germany quite a few times.
With a very few exceptions people take the rule "keep to the right unless overtaking" to heart which makes highway driving much more enjoyable.
I was driving mostly 180 - 190 km/h so there were plenty of cars driving much slower and plenty of cars much faster than me.
I can't say I encountered any particularly moronic morons.
-

They're mostly only being dangerous towards themselves. This is not generally the case if someone is driving a car dangerously.
If we're removing cyclists, can we remove motorcyclists too?
