@DogsB I know! It's a pun. No, the other thing... palindrome.
Writing it backwards was the original idea but I thought I would get fancy and then chatgpt just sucked the will out of me so you won't get to read the joke now. Swings and roundabouts I suppose.
What the devil?
To be fair, if i was asked to do this on the fly with no permanence.... Yeah I still wouldn't have put in letters that weren't in the original.
TBH I'm more impressed that it comprehends and attempts to comply with arbitrary directives than disappointed that it fails at basic tasks.

You remind me of all the people who bitch about the EU cookie banners because it’s inconvenient but go suspiciously quiet if you point out “did you read the cookie banner and see how many hundreds of companies are buying your data, guess you agreed to that” as though progress at any cost is the only acceptable route forward.
Cookies can be used to sell tracking data. They can also be used for dozens of legitimate, useful reasons. Every site I've worked on uses cookies. None of them sell user data to third parties; mostly they're used for internally-consumed analytics reports and user preferences.
Those annoying banners are literally just noise. They tell you fuck all about what the sites are actually using them for.

God of War 1 down. The ending didn't look like they were initially planning a sequel (let alone a franchise).

Half the time the double jump just does not work
Apparently the jump button had turbo enabled in the keybinds which was fucking up my jumps.

RE: The Official Status Thread
I never got into the God of War series, so I'm starting with the first one (remastered on PS3 emulator on Steam Deck).
So far, I find the combat fun but the platforming sections infuriating. Half the time the double jump just does not work and I fall to my death.

RE: The Official Status Thread
Steam Deck handles PS3 emulation surprisingly well.

git gud scrub.
I'm wondering if I'd struggle less with a melee build instead of full-on mage. Respeccing seems like effort though.

Of course it’s a transporter malfunction, damn thing’s buggier than Windows 2364.
That's one of the things that always made me laugh about all of the Star Trek series.
It's a couple hundred years in the future, they are zooming around the galaxy in huge starships, loaded with amazing tech, capable of traveling many times faster than the speed of light, and yet, all of their tech is constantly breaking and has the reliability of a 1971 Ford Pinto.

How uninspired of you.
I have a camping trip planned next week. I'm wondering if playing videogames in the woods really defeats the purpose of camping.

A fun story of build WTFs. Most of us have been there.
is that Git allows you to sneak unrelated code changes into a merge commit. I've noticed this before but never thought someone would actually do it.

Me watching the TC39 proposals page:
There are some proposals in stage 2 & 3 that would be transformative in the way I write code, but they've languished for years with no activity.

IOW, gaming on Linux is nice
If done on a handheld device with a really vibrant display, yes. Apparently the portability factor matters a lot more than I'd thought (even if I mostly play in bed).

Yeah, good luck telling that to the security audit guy(s).

Ordered an OLED Steam Deck because I guess I just have too much money.
A bit painful to set up but running Final Fantasy Tactics on emulator like a champ.
A game I'd have been more than happy to buy again if Squeenix would just release it for a modern console.

I find "Text files in a folder" to be a pretty good substitute.
I could've sworn there was a CMS based on text files, appropriately named CMS.txt, that generated Wiki-like content from plaintext files.
I must have hallucinated or dreamt it, because Google turns up nothing.

No, Adobe, when I click on Documentation I don't want video tutorials. I don't care what SpectateSwamp told you, I can't search or scan content from a video.
