WTF is happening with Windows 11? And nothing else

I found the settings for the Chrome auto-import in Edge and... it's broken and reverts to importing everything. So I guess every time I start Edge it will harvest all my Chrome dataz and upload it to MS. Such joy. Somehow my throughts are going towards IMY and one of their forms...

Hey all! Spotify support has officially confirmed this is a Windows issue.
"We've checked around and it looks like this is a known limitation on Windows' side at the moment due to an expired certificate such that the oATH header being sent to the Spotify API is no longer valid. Please reach out directly to Microsoft Support for more detailed and info on any possible updates about the focus assist clock integration."

The FUCK do you need any kind of authentication to tell Spotify what your focus assist settings are? And why is that a Microsoft problem?
-

You don't - you apparently need it to play music from Spotify in the Clock app.

Sure. But then it would be a Spotify issue not giving out a token that the App could use, no? Which is not what the article is implying.
-
@Tsaukpaetra Presumably there's a Microsoft server in the middle somewhere.

This must be something more serious thing to break than the usual oAUTH header

Ah, a MITM attack.

Status: the Touch Keyboard is bullshit. I'm trying to use the "Traditional" layout, which has the arrow keys. Great! Except it's not an AppBar when "docked" and thus covers half the screen without any ability to un-cover stuff. Hope you cautiously arranged your program beforehand!
It looks like this on my device:
What the bloody hell?!

@Applied-Mediocrity I think getting to windows 11 has been a bad decision.
Dear Satya Nadella,
I am writing to you today to express my concerns about the recent upgrade to Windows 11. Since the upgrade, we have experienced a number of problems, including:Printer disruptions
C# compiler problems
Multiple monitor issues
I have been working with the IT department to try to resolve these issues, but we have not been successful. I am concerned that these problems are impacting our productivity and morale.I would like to request that we roll back to Windows 10. I believe that this is the best course of action until Microsoft can resolve the issues with Windows 11.
Thank you for your time and consideration

Windows 11 pops up a message that I should change my password because it expires in 5 days. (This is home computer). Never encountered this with previous versions of Windows.
So I go to the change password screen and for the new password I enter the same password that I am currently using. Windows accepts this and says my password has been successfully changed.

@Gern_Blaanston well it has been changed, just to the same value. The overall quantum state has been altered.

Does Windows 11 transform your computer to a Quantum Computer?
So, when you are not looking it is both running or not at the same time, and when you are looking, its quantum state gets destroyed?
-
@BernieTheBernie Invalid answer for Windows 11. It has yet to be observed running. I would give walking as a valid state but running is not yet so by all available information.

Just when you've found your Windows 7 DVD, Microsoft installs the update that makes it not work

Their fix is literally adding entries to the revocation list. Wow.
In similar news I ran into an interesting Uno Reverse of this.
Installed Server 2022 on an Intel 2600CW system. Worked fine, including Secure Boot. Installed Windows Updates, which apparently updated bootmgr or something and suddenly since it's signed using a newer authority or someshit it fails to boot due to a security violation.
And there's no way to say "Yeah, fuck it, add this signature to the blessed database and move on with your life".
Luckily there was a BIOS update which updated the damn tables but hot fuck that was a day and a half of mystery....
