@LaoC 2008! Right at the beginning of jQuery era! What a dodge.
Although "legacy radioactive waste cleanup" might be an euphemism for C++.

Hey, I resemble that remark.
Anyway, "legacy radioactive waste cleanup" seems to be more applicable to one of the simulation codes for fusion-stuff that was written in one of the FORTRAN versions that didn't have structured control flow yet. (You could do -and the original author of the code did- loops that partially overlapped.)

@cvi
yeah C++ is more like being an actor on a film set for a western without any gun safety

Works for me. My feet have enough holes punched through them at this point that they're getting fairly difficult to hit.

I am in this post, and I don't like it.
(Fortunately, that was only college stuff. I haven't touched FORTRAN since, and I don't miss it a bit.)

You take that back (or send me your)! Black licorice is delicious.

@Karla Ok, that's it. I thought I liked you, but black licorice? No. Just no.

Yeah, I hate a lot of things normal people like and like some things that most people dislike.
Trading candy as a kid was fun. Give me all the black licorice and black jelly beans.

I wonder if appreciation for licorice is a genetic thing, like cilantro.
I also like licorice btw.

Agreed. Some people just don't know good candy when they're eating it.

But enough about people that eat black licorice.

I don't really drink booze, but I do like consuming stuff with a bit of alcohol in it.
You know, stuff that's liquourish.

You can have all the black licorice; I can't eat it (gluten). However, all flavors of Jelly Belly jelly beans are gluten-free, including the black licorice; they're not my favorite flavor, but I don't hate them, either.

This reminds me that I need to figure out if I can find something like this again:
A bit of alcohol (only about 30%) and licorice is quite a good combination.

Sambuka is a licorice flavored liquor.
Caught my hair on fire doing flaming sambuka shots with a wide mouth glass rather than a shot glass.

I've thought of that possibility too, since it seems rare to like it.
I dislike cilantro but do not have the gene that makes it taste like soap. I just don't like it.
Excess licorice root can have an effect on blood pressure and can have other side effects .
It is nice in tea, Throat Coat tea is soothing for a sore throat.

This doesn't remind me of any of us in particular, just in general.

Another reason we would make a nice couple.
Your black licorice would be safe with me (I'm not touching that )
