@GOG An island that cannot be found, except by those who already know where it is?

@Applied-Mediocrity Is that the way how No Such Agency was designed?

I would have thought this would have happened in New York, instead. But you can no longer can get a slice of pizza for $1 there, so people wouldn't waste a slice.
-
@jinpa huh, given the "The Full Jesus" hair I'd have expected dude to be the hardliner for bottom-area discipline. But given the way the sauce splatter is described, sounds like this was pretty serious, probably fatal.

No serious analyst would nominate such approaches.

Sometimes I buy fresh fruit before I return from holiday in tropical countries. Like pineapples - much more tasty there.
At Colombo airport, an officer told me that I must not carry a pineapple in carry-on luggage. I told him that it is merely a pineapple, and not a handgranade: "look, even when chop that upper part off, it won't explode". No, not possible... But at least, transporting it in check-in luggage was allowed, and the pineapple survived.

@BernieTheBernie It had more than 100ml of liquid inside. Ordnung muss sein!

@boomzilla Was he haunted by the witch ("La Strega" - a south italian herbal liqueur)?

@BernieTheBernie wrong Naples.

@boomzilla Send him to the correct Naples: Napoli!

Reminds me of the folk belief that different kinds of alcoholic beverages have different effects, independent of the amount of alcohol ingested.

wrong Naples.
sure? It's kind of the Miami of Italy
Nothing like as flat. Napoli has a lot of hills, probably more than the whole of Florida, as well as a well-known volcano (and other volcanic bits that make me suspect it is really a huge caldera centred on the bay).

If pineapples are outlawed, then only outlaws will replace all of the fluid in a pineapple with C4!

I think this is a sunglasses-based equivalence. Which I am going to allow.

I don't think an actual hand grenade would explode if the upper part got chopped off either. At least not the ones I've handled. As long as the detonation charge doesn't, well, detonate, nothing will happen. The C4-like in the grenade (the soft fruit body if you like) tend to be rather bad at having exciting reactions on its own.

I would generally not recommend joking about explosives to a customs officer, especially in a place where his understanding of English is likely to be imperfect.

Let's see if I can save someone a click.
When questioned about his activities, Roach reportedly said that he “was having issues with his rectum and in order to get rid of that pain he has to ejaculate.” If Roach offered anything further about his purported maladies, a cop did not include those gory details in an arrest affidavit.

Not the worst explanation ever. It's not particularly good, but the worst explanation top contenders make this one pretty tame.

Nope. One during a night dive. And I had air for 15 minutes more, but I really really needed to pee.
Night dives have a weird calming effect on me. I eat air so slowly during nigh dives, no idea why.
But of course it's a function of depth too - most of the dive was at 15m, so no air devouring conditions.

RELEASE THE TESLAS
"Hanna was booked for grand theft of an emergency vehicle and held in jail in Palm Beach on a $7,500 bond for his joyride."
I don't know long he'll have to do in prison, but it seems to me that $7500 wouldn't be enough to keep someone from jumping bail.
-
@jinpa $7,500 seems like a fair admission rate for such an exciting ride.
