It looks like a used bar of soap. If that's what rocks your boat, more power to you...
Ooo. Shiny! (I like the big MS mice)

@dcon And cannot lie?

Nope. Logitech has several "normal" mice with the forward-reverse buttons. I use them.
That's what I use, too. I think; the logo has completely worn off. (Fake edit: Almost; I just found that if I hold it so the light reflects exactly right, I can barely make out a few letters at a time where the logo used to be.)
Real edit: That's not why I use it, though. It's the only thing I could find that was both ambidextrous (except the back/forward buttons) and kinda sorta almost ergonomic. Real ergonomic mice are not remotely ambidextrous, and for me, being able to switch hands every so often and rest whichever one I've been overusing is more important to wrist health than ergonomic shape.

Don't forget the second one, blaming the hardware

You just have to use the right one

It's Magic™
And those are the ones I mentioned as hating. "real" mouse >>>>>>>>>>> Trackpad >>x Infinity > magic mouse.
Oh, and about 42 times as expensive as it should be, because Apple.
And when not lifting up your other fingers while clicking you can get right-clicks instead of left-clicks or the other way round.
Hated that mouse after using it for a few months (workplace usage, not my choice) since it was a pure WTF

And we use Macbook Pros (the ancient 2012 ones), so I don't have a mouse.
Somehow I fail to see the reasoning there. Am I missing something?
Meaning I could attach a mouse but many wireless mice don't play nice with macs (from my experience). Meaning I end up using the trackpad 99% of the time.
WOMM. Never had a mouse that I couldn't use on my MBP... Well except for the fact that non-apple mice all seem to have weird acceleration on macOS, but they did work.
I have to admit though, I like the touchpad on MacBooks so much that I rarely even use a mouse with it. I'm weird that way.

My roommate feels the same way. He even plays TF2 with his touchpad.

It wouldn't be so bad, so long as you don't mind re-mapping melee, secondary-fire, switch weapon forward, and switch weapon backward.

Looks like the successor to my MX 518. Other than getting used to not hitting the one button by accident, it's been a great mouse.

So much discussion on the intricacies of mice. Meanwhile I'm over here like, "My mouse has two whole buttons...! "

I remember my first PC mouse back in ~1996. It had three buttons. Not scroll wheel - three identical buttons side by side.

I mean you could probably get used to it, but I'm not that cheap that I wouldn't get a mouse if only for gaming ^^

Probably a lot more comfortable than all those tiny 'mobile' or 'laptop' mice, that give you cramps after first 30 minutes of work.

One of the most annoying things ever invented, on par with laptops where left ctrl isn't in the corner.
While I haven't tried using a Surface myself, the placement of that power button seems to me to be helluvannoying.
I would accidentally hit the power button eleventy times a day.
