@Zecc I thought that was a feathered bird tail, not the leaves of a pineapple. I was pretty horrified for a few seconds.
Yeah, you're supposed to pluck the feathers before you cook and eat the bird.

@PJH If it can be transmitted just be being within 2 m of another person, it's not exactly surprising that it could be transmitted through much more intimate contact.

EDIT: Now I wish I could fake up a can of this, to leave on my desk or in my fridge just to see people's reactions.

We had a problem with this at work, where the cleaning of that was lacking and causing quite the smell.

@boomzilla The species' name is brillant though:
As for [Troglomyces] twitteri, Copenhagen's team insisted that using Twitter as inspiration for the name was not a dig on the nature of the social media platform.
"As far as we know, this is the first time that a new species has been discovered on Twitter," Reboleira explained. "It highlights the importance of these platforms for sharing research — and thereby being able to achieve new results."

.... You know, I'm not going to keep thinking on this subject. Not because it's disgusting or someshit, but because I'm starting to re-fantasize about never-ending blowjobs from aliens and I promised myself I'd be more productive today.

@Tsaukpaetra I think you need your very own Nope thread. You take Nope to a whole new level.

@Tsaukpaetra Did you create the animation? If so, how did you animate the chains? Although the animation is disgusting, the chains are relevant to some of the things I try to do, and I consistently struggle with trying to get Blender's physics engine to give reasonable-looking results.

There is a lot of soft body physics (1d chains, 2d face and hat, 3d eyballs) in there that's pretty interesting.

No, but the style and physics just aches of Blender.
Trying to see who the source author was and I just realized there's audio!
