I mean. #1 is a completely reasonable question. For the majority of the population "That particular shape of body makes me tingle in the no-no place" is a pretty good indicator of our sexual preferences and orientation. Because groping people is generally considered impolite at best, blind people are missing that particular cue. I'd actually like to see some Science™ on this.
#2 is pretty fucking dumb, though, and likely comes from conflating racism-as-action (stay away from black people!~!!~!) with racism-as-idea (people from my ethnic background are superior). The former has logistical problems for the blind, but the latter simply requires knowledge of what you are and some shitty ideas. If racism arose only from personal experience, being unable to identify other people's races would certainly be a hindrance to becoming a racist. But racism arises socially, too.

To me, visual stimulus is like 99% of sexual attraction, so I'm not sure how blind people even experience it.
I suppose you can always "try sex with both, see which one you enjoy most", but that's not really the same thing as attraction.

Touch, sound, smell.
The way men and women touch you feels different.
People can be incompatible based on smell. I've turned down a 2nd date with someone because I didn't like his smell.

You've never seen a 5/10 woman with a 10/10 voice?
Then you add in the New Zealand accent (or whatever your preference) and wow.
Jeri Ryan was hot, then she opens her mouth and... wow!

Is that what I'm doing wrong?
-
@Tsaukpaetra Are you blind?
-
@blakeyrat Absolutely, voices can by sexy.

Are you sure it wasn’t because you could tell he sold fish for a living?

No, it really wasn't that obvious of a smell. Not something I would call unpleasant.
I've heard this is a evolutionary adaption to help avoid mating with someone who is not genetically compatible with you.

Anyway... books.
Books don't even contain such a thing as touch, smell or voice; only suggestions thereof.
I'm sure blind people can draw their own conclusions on how they feel when they read different types of lewd material.

Question (which is mostly intended for straight people): Does the idea of a blind dude having sex seem unusually weird and gross? Or how about a blind woman?
-
@anotherusername not really. Although (in my case, talking about blind women) the eye-rolling can mislead as regards effectiveness or lack of it, so there is that insecurity factor.
-
@admiral_p It may just be because I knew a blind guy who was extremely enthusiastic about everything he did, and despite using a cane he typically had a forehead injury from walking headlong into a sign or pole or something.
Great guy, fun to be around, but I cringe at the thought of him getting anywhere near a vagina.

I guess the only thing I'd find unsettling is the blank stare into the void during the whole thing.

Having observed many entities (non human) having sexual intercourse, I believe looking at one's partner seems unusual.
So, no, probably wouldn't be bothered.

There are positions to help you with that.

A previous partner claimed it was to do with immune systems. If you're attracted to someone's natural scent then you have immune systems that would be complimentary for producing healthy offspring. I can't immediately find any citations on this but she was a real biologist so it's probably true.

It appears to be a real thing.
