@benjamin-hall You'd be surprised at what you can eat when the alternative is starvation. Anyway, that's because they don't get in the house, not because they can't digest them.

Different types of spiders have different modes of hunting. And unlike humans (who are known to innovate), spiders don't adapt well.

@pie_flavor Oh sure, outside... but this one already knows how to get in!
Maybe it was actually born in your house, you insensitive clod!
-
@jbert And that makes it what, a citizen? My house rules don't work that way.
edit: plus, spiders aren't "born"... they come out of pods.

Indeed. Vigilantism is most unwelcome.
-
Not sure this one really needs a translation, but FYI, in the first picture the text balloon says, “Two times the Swedish meatballs please” and in the second, “Hassle”.

@zecc Second time I've seen that and it still doesn't make sense to me. I don't get the joke.
-
@lb_ Look at the last panel. The fallen stick figure looks like the characters OK. So when he said "you'll be OK", that's a pun, equivocating between the normal usage (everything will be fine) and the abnormal (you'll look like the word "OK").
-
@benjamin-hall ah, I wasn't sure if it was something to do with the neck missing. That makes a lot more sense.

@antiquarian Sorry, but anyone who thinks that some people shouldn't be treated against their will might want to talk to the widow whose son caved in his step-father's skull with an axe because he was hearing voices.
They also weren't able to get him committed before because "treatment has to be voluntary."
Strangely enough, now he's locked away.
There are far more accurate predictors of violence than hearing voices. I doubt that there's any statistical correlation between hearing voices and violence. It's just that it makes the news when it happens.
I didn't include the whole story. He was a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. Let's just say that just about everyone who knew him saw that coming.
Let me rephrase it then: "There are far more accurate predictors of violence than being diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic."

And? What exactly are you trying to prove here? I said it before: "Everyone who knew him saw that coming." Now fuck off and try your white-knighting somewhere else.

I wonder if Elon Musk has already figured out this kid-sized problem:

@JBert
Why do you think he has the kid seats in the trunk?
-
@izzion Huh. Might be a little side-money maybe in doing safety override override jobs on the release lever.

@Tsaukpaetra Oops, I forgot to put the link in the href attribute. Fixed.

Fixed.
Except it seems the image doesn't like hotlinking.

@Tsaukpaetra Ugh, obviously I can't see that when it's cached on my machine, especially when somebody quotes my entire post. I'll see if I can upload a copy...
-
@Tsaukpaetra Fixed. (Bis)
Next time please post a screenshot of what you're seeing rather than just quoting my post back at me...

Another way to fix it is to add
https://i0.wp.com/
before the URL. It's basically an image proxy WordPress uses.

How would that have helped any more than the more efficient text than I provided? When is a screenshot of blankness ever more useful than the error that lead to the blank?
-
@Tsaukpaetra I was talking about your previous post, of course.

Of course. Which is why the post-in-reply-to link in your post talking about posting screenshots instead of quoting the post back to you goes to the post where I gave detailed information, natch.
Of course, even then, a screenshot would not have helped with the original statement, as the first issue was non-visual in nature anyways.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I wonder though what the issue smelled like.

If it's uploaded, there's at least a pretty good hope that it'll remain online for as long as the forums themselves do...

Also, why is his holiness floating above the grid of studs?

Should be obvious.
