Neighbors are TR:wtf:

@Gribnit I should have been more specific, I suppose. It was the 'unreconstructed' part - a word that didn't seem to make sense, but I would have guessed it meant 'unrefined' (which if used to describe a barbarian would be quite redundant) - that confused me. TILM that it comes from the Reconstruction era of the US.
-
@Applied-Mediocrity exactly. Except that I forgot to source that usage at all. I needed something nothing like
nekulturny
but not to the point ofirredentist
.

That leads me to believe that you are anything but serious. No offense, but there is lengthy precedent.

Oh, but he is very serious ... seriously deranged.

Heavy metal poisoning is no laughing matter, but I still find it hilarious.

"Lengthy precedent" is regular serious. "Early precedent in BCL" is excessively so.

@boomzilla I was expecting a beaver video.
-
@boomzilla I've done that before.
-
That would be peak Next Door.
-
@boomzilla that's not my kid - I can tell b/c that's not our axe.
-
@Gribnit inconclusive.
-
-
-
I've taken to remarking "If you make the slightest effort to train them, they'll do that less." to walkers of barking dogs.

My neighbor just renamed their wireless "Shut Up, Karen"

Yeah? Try that with a coonhound. Coonhounds don't give a damn.

Something something about dogs taking after their owners.

So I was hanging out in the shop with the neighbor the other night and he had enough to drink that his restraint loosened up a little bit and he tells me something to the effect of:
"You're a pretty fun guy to hang out with and we have a lot of common interests and I'm glad to have such a helpful neighbor."
Then follows it up with:
"But to tell you the truth, the first time I met you I really didn't think that I was going to like you at all."
Okay, now my interest is peaked.
Yes. Yes I would.
So I tell him that I really want to know why, ask if I was being a grumpy dickhole when we first met, etc. That's not it. Then I remind him that I'm basically incapable of being offended and he finally tells me:
"The first time I met you, I don't know, I just got the impression that you were a huge nerd."

@boomzilla That seems to be a large balcony. More like a roof terrace?
-
@BernieTheBernie looks pretty normal to me.

Except for the cattle. A normal balcony is normal. A normal balcony with cattle is not normal.
-
@HardwareGeek Rather sturdy balcony to boot. Normally they're not built to uphold such a weight.

Video clips of seven calves...
The community’s party secretary, Zhang Dayou, told Fengmian News that the calves weighed between 10 and 20kg each.So not that big yet.

Yeah. Even 7 calves at 20 kg each is less than one standard American (note: I'm mostly mocking myself. Because I'm over 140kg.)

I am currently at a standard USA Midwestern beach and I am unimpressed with the sturdiness of the balcony. I remarked to my wife earlier about how she doesn't need to worry about my eyes wandering while here. Most of these people are roughly the weight of cows.

@boomzilla I assume this refers to a lake or river, not a real beach.

There's more than corn in the US Midwest.
-
@izzion Yes, but one thing there isn't is (ocean) beaches.
-
@HardwareGeek
Just give it a few more years of climate change

Of course. Lots of hogs.

Many of them were at that beach!!
Whales, too. Not to mention ham planets.

Also a quickly growing windmill population.

@dcon And the HOA member who complains could be lifted onto the feeder, too! Double win!
-
@BernieTheBernie why stop there? Why not feed the board of the HOA to it in its entirety then disband the HOA?
-
-
@Arantor Eventually, the result will be the same. One by one, they'll be gone.

Heh...from the annals of NextDoor...in some nearby neighborhood, there's a woodpecker that sees his reflection in people's side mirrors and attacks it and ends up breaking them.
-
@boomzilla They'll need impeckable mirrors.
-

@BernieTheBernie said in Neighbors are TR:

Pecking mirrors is indeed a sin.
1530s, "not capable of sin," from French impeccable (15c.) or directly from Late Latin impeccabilis "not liable to sin," from assimilated form of in- "not, opposite of" (see in- (1)) + peccare "to sin" (see peccadillo).

In case of embedding shenanigans:
For those of you asking for new content on the horn, it's coming. Just gotta wait until they start complaining again. Until then please feel free to enjoy the variety of other horns sirens and whistles on my channel along with some sweet guns cannons and cars. Me and the neighbors with horns and other Noise Makers are starting Our Own HOA (Horn Owners Association) and there will be more to come. I just didn't want to make a clickbait video without them provoking me again by trying to over reach their nonsense authority. Stay tuned
And for context:
Some idiot decided to Build and HOA Neigbohood out in the sticks (Rural farming community) and now they think they can tell everyone that they're not allowed to make noise I. E my air horns , Guns shots , Etc etc. there is no noise ordinance and everyone got along just fine before they built their crappy row house development
