Fuck you, Wikipedia

In so fuck you.
Here in Canada, we actually do use maple leaves for currency. Fall has horrible impacts on the economy.

Btw, any explanation on why racist? I'm not following this.
Espresso appears right on Starbucks menu, I don't think they'll put some racist word there.
-
So I was around post 20ish, reading about cuppa's and discourse decided I was done reading and took me back to the first post.
So if I missed any content, sorry guys, but we're still talking about espresso down here so i figured i'd share discourse being shit as usual.

My step-sister drove one of those for awhile. There weren't any more "express" than the standard Neon.
Did people actually expect those to drive faster? I thought they were just buying it for the pretentious-sounding name.
Yeah, cause the rest of the sentence is missing. It read in full: "you can't afford anything better, but you want express, so you need to put up with this shit."
You've succinctly described the experience of buying a Neon.
-
Now she's been dead a few months, it's cheaper still. "Buy one, get one free pic'n'mix offer on all of boomzilla's late relatives" and still change from $1.50.
Do I have to buy a full set? I'd like to buy one relative, and a couple extra legs from another, and put together a four legged creature to do "doggy style".

The unexpected appearance of an easily dismissed donation request has clearly caused you significant emotional distress
That's funny coming from a known adblocker.

If you gotta ask...you're a right wing cunt nazi.

Dude, I'M a known adblocker, and I'm saying Wikipedia's ad is acceptable. If the ad industry had followed that model, ad blockers wouldn't be such a huge thing.

-
TLDR it's an enormous forum in-joke that you're missing.
We have a pet SJW (in the 'annoying pest' sense of the term, saying nothing of my own political alignments) or two who earnestly believes using words to describe people and things oppresses them.
-
Okay, so it's not me accidentally stepping on something again because of cultural difference. Nice to know that.
I know people making half heartedly and/or playful comment here, but sometimes I just can't be sure.

What about bodies that can't consent, like Lake Michigan?
So, when I dump a dead body in lake Michigan, I'm raping the lake.Filed under: Mind blown

That's a very strange definition of rape.

That half screen ad it showed me? I would certainly block that.
If it were the entire year, I would set a wikipedia mirror up.

boomzilla's late relatives
Boomzilla's relatives are never late, nor are they early. They come exactly when they intended to

you terrible human being.
As something that isn't a human being in anything but the widest sense, I say this is discriminating against humans. Unless you have positive proof that @Spanky587 is a real human being. (Which is very dubious as hst is a member of a forum like this.

And put up your own ads for funding to run it?
I'll put in a free server, in my adsl connection, running over wiki Discourse posts. What could go wrong?

What could go wrong?
Discourse
Everything.
IRONICALLY I GOT AN ERROR TRYING TO POST A JOKE ABOUT HOW DISCOURSE GOES WRONG.
ADD THAT TO YOUR SONG ALANIS.

ADD THAT TO YOUR SONG ALANIS.
It's like ten thousand bugs when all you wanted was a post

IRONICALLY
The first time it was ironic now it's the entire Alanis Morissette back catalog.

Yeah, but you're like the vegetarian who doesn't like the taste of meat. @flabdablet is more like the vegan who will throw paint on your faux fur ear muffs.
-
saying nothing of my own political alignments
Don't bother. They'll assume you're a conservative regardless, since you don't agree with them.
-

Damn straight. If there's one thing I can't stand it's cruelty to fauxes.

If it were the entire year, I would set a wikipedia mirror up.
But it isn't. It's once a year. Not everyone sees it. And it's dismissible so you don't keep seeing it once you've said "No". If it were permanent, it would do more harm than good because WIKIPEDIA DOESN'T DO ADS!

It's like Wayne on your wedding day.
It's like getting anally raped, when you're already gay.

Rule of thumb: if you're not sure, assume you're being trolled.

They do participate in a lot of open-internet advocacy, I'm assuming that's where a lot of that travel budget goes to (could be wrong, however...)

I've only seen it once a year prior to 2015. I haven't Wikipedia'd much this year, but saw it exactly 0 times. I assume there's some A-B shit going on. Maybe Jimmy just hates you, and is intentionally trolling you. You'll either pay him or fuck off his site. Either way, he wins.

I'm just correcting the record.

I think that's been the case for me too, but it might've been twice last year. It's definitely been more frequent this year.

On the contrary, I can keep hitting F5 and waste his ad impressions. I'M STICKING IT TO THE MAN.

or whatever you use to denote a gender-neutral form that includes "it"
Well: "he" + "she" + "it" = ?
100 points if you can guess.

(sh(he)e)it.
As in, "shheeit, aint nobody got time fo dat".

So does this same ad run in Utah, where the majority population group think of coffee as a sinister mind-altering pharmaceutical that they grudgingly allow to exist legally for the use of those heathens who don't belong to the one true religion?
-
majority population group think of coffee as a sinister mind-altering pharmaceutical
Fun fact: No actual mormon thinks that!
It actually has everything to do with the dependence that can result in the consumption of caffeine (thus why tea and energy drinks are included).
Decaf is okay, but nobody really drinks it because:
A) it's gross
B) they don't want to give off the wrong impression
-
I have lived many years among Mormons:
Many Mormons do not drink anything with caffeine, including Coke.
Many Mormons do not drink anything with coffee, including decaf just because they think that is the right inference from book of Mormon.
Many Mormons do not drink anything that resembles coffee, because yes "they don't want to give off the wrong impression". Or IOW, they are afraid of their neighbors informing on them in the church.
Many Mormons are jack Mormons, anything is fine as long as it stays in Vegas.
-
On the contrary, I can keep hitting F5 and waste his ad impressions. I'M STICKING IT TO THE MAN.
I don't think first party ads care about wasted impressions. Stick it to Jimmy as much as you want.

A small DD at Tims is 1.50 CAD here
e: whoops, 'd by Lorne.

Me too (I was raised in the church. No longer have any interest in it, however). What you say is true although some are more/less strict in their interpretation of it than others. My mother was pretty strict (e.g. no decaf, no coke) but has softened up in recent years to the point that she doesn't think of me as demonic for drinking caffeinated soda. Hooray, I guess?
Or IOW, they are afraid of their neighbors informing on them in the church.
Ah yes, the good ol' "Brigham Young Assassin Squad"...
