Sure is windy around the fox today...
-_-
i have made my position on those sort of jokes clear multiple times now.
Why must you persist in them?
I am disappoint.
cool picture of Aunt Tilda though.
-
Even @SignatureGuy's entry in the Discopædia is clear on the existence of discobots.
:P
-
You replied to an obviously sarcastic comment, promulgating SockBot in a serious manner, to a fellow SockBot dev. This has got to be like pandering or performance art or an attempt to jump-start the wind turbines offshore.
Why do you want to make yourself disappointed?
-
I agree with whatever @abarker posted just above.<t51215p153>

Pretty obviously got the joke though. In fact, it's obvious enough I'd almost consider a whoosh flag grounds for a counter-whoosh....

Yeah. If only we'd actually received any whoosh flags …

to a fellow SockBot dev
Correction: I only worked on SockSite. There was my own independent bot project I abandoned due to lack of time, and probably won't even pursue given current situation.
Then again, I might... The main purpose was not a bot, but an API that would enable mobile app development. This might still be a worthy cause to help other Discourse
userssufferers.

...Paging @riking - really?

eeeh,,,, i prefer to think of it as self advertising.

Plus or minus jellypotato.

What ever happened to his jihiad for openid or some other such cock.
-
No idea....
I just paged him cause he's the only active discodev I can throw complaints at.....

claiming to whoosh-flag is almost as much fun as actually doing it.

indeed.

you know you can press the view raw button and see the text in its full glory don't you?

Of course I do. But it's a pain in the ass, and frankly, you guys could just stop with ONE small tag and then I could actually read it.
-
But without the small tag it wouldn't be possible to sort of trail off with decreasing confidence in what one is saying until one is merely muttering with only the slightest hope of having the ear of one's audience... this is an important thing to be able to do I have run out of small...oh wait, there's more!

indeed, but the things are what they are.
i almost never use <small> but when i do i stop at one. usually

That's just childish. He obviously doesn't like the small...

I like how for any other forum software, and what Sam would have done last year, they would have said "This sounds like a problem specific to your forum, let me introduce you to our extensiblity model and help you write a plugin!"
Notice how, with Discourse, they're not recommending that? There's a reason.

to you to, good sir! and a :complicated_italian_gesture_with_fingers_under_chin: . On what side of this highly polarizing issue have I offended you?

You in particular I want to realize this bothers me at least as much as you are bothered by whoosh badges.
-
fair enough.......
there are eight small tags in this post.

Apparently TDWTF forum members aren't people
But I want to be a real boy, Geppetto!
-
Seriously, though, how would Bob Newhart have gotten by without small? If you see something in small, just feel free to ignore it, is my advice. Can you... sorryCan you believe the normotypocentricity on this guy?
-
offended? nowhere. maybe annoyed me a bit. but it was a while since i last used for something
-
normotypocentricity
Can you believe the sheer, dripping able-bodied-normative entitlement on this guy?
I have trouble reading stuff with more than one small tag.
-

I can't speak for others, but I don't want you to be able to read it at first glance. I tend to (ab)use it as a sort of spoiler, or hidden text but I want you know it's there to unhide, since most people only look for hidden stuff if they reasonably suspect there's something to look for.

You did notice I didn't use the words "at first glance", right? I'm nearsighted enough that depending on the number of small tags I actually have to use the view source button. It's actually pretty annoying.
-
Have you considered ground-glass spectacle lenses, such as are made in Araby and the Deep Orient?
-
I'm usually reading on my low-res laptop screen and using 80% zoom to get more content vertically, so we're in the same category, kinda.
-

I'm not nearsighted (presbyopia); more than about 2 or 3 and I can't read it either. Raw button — one click, no big deal. It's not like we have to muck about with the URL like we had to do before we got the button. Yeah, that would be too annoying to bother, most of the time; raw button, not so much.

Apparently you just need to do something like update your bio to mention the fiasco. That's what I did!
-
that's as far as i'm going.
