@Cursorkeys I honestly don't know much about this. A few of the younger lads that work in the office (I get to work remotely 4 days outta 5) were discussing it in one of the slack channels and seemed to find the whole thing amusing.
I tried googling around for something that just reported the facts but I couldn't find anything that seemed neutral.

Ditto, I did find the paedophile accusation I remembered though:

@Cursorkeys I would be wary of trusting any screenshots. Anyone can use inspect element in chrome and snip that.

You should be wary of trusting anything you read on the Internet.
Including this advice

I dunno if this has been posted previously but this is highly bizarre.
Is this even real?
That Reason article is profoundly stupid.
-
@pie_flavor They are saying that the IRS wouldn't worry about a few hundred dollars. Some of these young ladies are making quite a lot more than that if what I have read is true.

Some real hardcore point-counterpoint action there are you sure you can keep up this pace?

I love the title of the article that follows:
Edit to add link: https://www.cnet.com/news/electric-scooters-by-bird-and-lime-are-causing-injuries-and-accidents/
Thought it belongs in the Lime Scooters thread, whatever it's named.

I've realised since posting this is fakey joke news but it's still funny so whatevs.

I'm suddenly reminded of a little story which one of my colleagues told:
"One time my nephew found a 3.5" floppy disk on my shelves. When he picked it up he exclaimed “Oh, you 3D-printed the save icon!” "

I've got no sympathy for tax evaders though
I kinda share this feeling, but if some hypocritical bigots decided that your trade is illegal for no good reason I tend to be a bit more understanding.

@loopback0 Assuming one tractor per farm. Average farm size in England is 50 hectares, approximately 0.5km2. So, he'd had to have a prowling territory of at least 225km2.
... I was going to make a joke about having to cover a lot of ground, but this unexpected density of tractor ownership killed it. A 10 x 22.5 km territory is less than some wolf packs.

Remains recovered from the River Irwell have been confirmed to be a human leg, police said.
"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing but, at this time, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
What??!?!? Is someone missing a leg and waiting to be reunited with it? Does this happen frequently?

@DogsB It is Salford things like this aren't that unusual.

Netflix says the price increase will help fund upcoming TV series and films.
So we get to pay more, to support the creation of such things that everyone asked for and wanted, and which will undoubtedly turn out great, as the live action Cowboy Bebop series.

I have my doubts about Cowboy Bebop. More Knights of Sidona would be awesome. :D

I think the interesting part is that the water isn't dissolving the limb on contact. That river is a lot cleaner than it used to be!

That studio is doing fine, they'll probably make more things at the very least. They did that movie on there as well... can't remember the name, though.

iPhone X users should be sterilised or at least should be sectioned.

From the article it sounds as though she may have kept taking pregnancy tests at home and only got a scan after she finally sought medical advice:
After blacking out in her office admin job, Ms Favell plucked up the courage to see a GP in 2016, who said she must be pregnant despite blood negative tests.
...
Still believing Ms Favell to be pregnant, her GP referred her for an ultrasound scan in January last year. The GP probably wouldn't have had a scanner and getting a hospital appointment for a scan would take a few days, (or maybe slightly longer over Christmas???) - not an issue in a normal case. That assumes that Favell co-operated straight away and wasn't still just in denial.
The crazy thing is that she went for so long without recognising that something was seriously wrong (or more likely she knew but was scared of confirmation).

The details aren't clear, but it does say a doctor said she was pregnant. How was that diagnosed and when?
