New feature in Civ 7. After the whole map gets settled such that there aren’t barbarians any more, terrorist encampments start spawning in hidden locations on the map, and the more civs that have nukes, the higher the chances a terrorist attack sets off a dirty bomb.

@boomzilla Undoubtedly, that would be a win for society in general. However, we need @apapadimoulis to keep paying for TDWTF, and Alex needs Inedo to keep paying him so he can pay for TDWTF, so indirectly we need Ohio, or at least a small part of it.

He just needs enough notice to move HQ over to Japan.

In one of our musicals back in high school I played a bunch of bit parts (mostly chorus members, occasionally with lines). The props folks gave me a cinnamon schnapps bottle to pretend to drink while in the background. I put some Dr. Pepper in it every night to drink and tried to act more drunk over the course of that part of the play.

Let's say I'm on a website where active and shipped orders show a link to an invoice PDF but other states are not visible or missing the invoice number. Let's also say there's no security preventing somebody from loading any invoice. Let's further say support keeps avoiding providing the invoice numbers for a small number of orders. Not saying no, more like "forgetting" to answer the 2nd of 2 questions in an e-mail.
Do you brute force your way through max 100K http requests?
-
@Zenith sure, but do it once every few seconds to avoid getting rate limited. Use proxy if possible and not too expensive (either in time or money). Or if the invoices are sequential and you know the approximate invoice date, you can do binary search.
-
@Gustav A binary search is a good idea. It would be a better idea if the invoices had the order number in them. Best option is the order date. It should've generated them in order. Once I found the right date, plus the boundaries on either side, it would narrow the search considerably.
Just don't want Interpol knocking on my door for "hacking."
-
@Zenith nah you'll be fine. Your scraper will get banned long before serious men in suits get the idea to pay you a visit. Source: I make scrapers for a living.

And then test them on WDTWTF so that @boomzilla has more cooties to troubleshoot?

The teacher no longer works for the school, as she was fired two months later on July 30, 2022, Monica Armenta, the executive director of communications for Albuquerque Public Schools, told McClatchy News on Feb. 27.
So the teacher brought in real, sharpened weapons for kids to fight with, and it somehow took the school two months to fire her

@izzion WEEEEEEEEEBBS!!!!!

@Gustav I was stupid, the order numbers were in the PDF, but in an unusable state because it's a bitmap vs text.
That said, I got all of my invoices out via manual binary search. Also learned several other toy "stores" source from them along the way. Must admit I am tempted to use my slight bit of power for evil.
The store's staff are just completely without self awareness. They instituted this holding period, while shipping out of Japan was locked down, without notifying customers. Then most of their notifications, specifically the in-stock alerts, stopped working (the warning I got must've been a freak accident). Yet they're chiding me over how it's somehow my responsibility to check my preorders every day so they don't steal and resell paid-for goods.
Yeah, they've made an enemy for life.

@dcon evil. Definately evil.

Mozilla clearly thinks it's a bad idea¹.

@Bulb well it is a bad idea and the proposers should feel bad.
