The thread of movie titles and absence of badges. In previous episodes, it was signs you're getting older, chiropractic vs. medicine, atheism vs. Mormonism and religion vs. science with no existentialism nor philosophy thrown in

Big would sort of fit, but I doubt that's what you're going for...

too easy
Not too easy, I think. Unfortunately, work got in the way of a timely response from me, so others got it first.
-
There are still a few I posted that people haven't guessed. Unfortunately, I don't have time to repost them at the moment.

A little time to repost these while I eat lunch:* Penetrating Hydraulic Flux — Hint: Hydraulic -> Related to water, not machinery

Movie title clue: "wot bwings us togeder today."
Not the movie the quote came from, but the movie title I'm looking for is related to the statement. Since there are many movies that satisfy that requirement, I will attempt to disambiguate it somewhat by saying the title I'm looking for is two words.
If that's still ambiguous, who was involved is a critical part of the title.
Not bad, but definitely not what I was thinking of
is it the Sound of Music then?

Jaloopa wins by seconds, and by virtue of correctly capitalizing the title.Could this be High Society?
Good...
@dkf said:It might also be The Prestige…
Even better. You definitely have the right concept, but I was thinking of a one-word title.True Romance
Close, but not quite; a bit more specific, if you please.

Yeah! Suck it doc

There appears to be a film titled Fame.

That's the one I was looking for. In fact there are two of them: One made in 1980, and a remake in 2009. There is also a TV series based on the 1980 version that ran from 1982-1987.
The 1980 version is arguably better in some ways. Costuming is not one of the ways (unless you're looking for laughs — if you like guys in short shorts, you're in for a feast); goggles may or may not do nothing.

Wait a sec, you were alive then, right?
That's how
wesome people wore shorts back then.
-
That's how we some people wore shorts back then.
Indeed. I didn't say it was unrealistic, just ... unattractive.
-
unattractive.
Agreed. That's why shorts got longer.... or so they could sell more new shorts next season!
But the costumer did a great job dressing '80's people in '80's costumes. <demands accuracy >
Ooooh, hadn't seen this before:
Also, ;)

Have a longer think about the word 'mug'
Either Face or Cup, presumably. Mask being on the wrong track rules out face...
Unless it's Face/Off?

Have a longer think about the word 'mug'.
Assault and rob? While wearing a hat. Or a mask that covers the head. Makes sense, but I'm not coming up with a movie title.
