Emoji Thingy

I'm currently on Version 43.0.2357.45 beta-m.
Version 42.0.2311.135 m. Which I assumed was the actual difference until:
Chrome 42.
But, what OS? I hear rumors that Windows 8 has better font support than Windows 7 for emoji. I'm on 7.

Maybe you should switch to Kappa Everywhere.
Predictably, Discourse messes it up. mcgHand

Ah, yes, the impenetrable mystery of Twitch heads - either the channel is constantly spammed, or you manage to get a question about the damned things in, you're called a noob and to RTFM and it stays at that.
And no, I don't really care that much.

Aside: what idiot thought "man in business suit levitating" was something that needed an emoji for?
You seem to have completely missed the many times this video has been posted around here:

pretty sure most of those times were me. :-P

missed
Not really. Also, a ten-minute video is longer than I want to watch just to find out why `levitating is in there.
-
Because someone suggested it, and no-one told him to sod off
That's my guess, anyway

Nah; too busy inflating my post count
Sadly, I'm actually watching it, and I must say, if this guy were to stop taking so many tranquilizers, he'd probably be able to work up an excellent blakeyrant.

Nah; too busy inflating my post count
Also, I did notice last night you have the spoon still/again. Nice job.

Yeah, but I stopped paying attention once you dropped below 2k posts/month.

Given he briefly nabbed the Spoon™ (twice), @tar has fallen a very long way…
I said that yesterday in @shadowmod's test thread.

Eh, I got the Spoon Holder Emeritus, that's as good as the spoon itself...
-
It's better. Having it instead of the spoon is effectively saying "I had the spoon but I got better".
-
It covers where it came from, but not really why it was added over others.
They brought a lot of characters over from Wingdings/Webdings.
Wikipedia suggests maybe the characters brought over into Unicode were the ones not translatable to existing Unicode characters.

Yes. Because they want to be able to translate every document ever both ways.
Is is time I link to that Computerphile video again? Because Tom Scott is fun to watch?

Might be a bit soon

"I had the spoon but I got better".
"I used to be a spoon user, but with the loving support of my family and friends, I was able to kick the habit. Now I just smoke 504 cigarettes a day instead."
