Windows 9 (And Pandora) appreciation thread

I once had a Pandora station that was seeded with Marilyn Manson play a Boy George song. I should have filed that one as a bug because that is the only explanation...

That sounds like a fun station.
Yeah, I blame the fact that this playlist is largely punk and ska, which frequently means upbeat songs about unhappy things. Quite often for satire.
It's just odd when it pulls in songs where people are saying these things for real.
It's one thing when it pulls in Smashmouth, and I can enjoy the nostalgia, but when I want Streetlight Manifesto and Reel Big Fish, I'd expect mott's jazz long before I'd expect songs about how 'no one understands me'.

In this case it made sense. I mean it doesn't, but I understand what the algorithm was doing. Progressive metal tends to have complex rhythms, complicated drum beats, heavy syncopation, odd keys and modes, shifting time signatures, and chromatic scales. So does jazz. But it's still wrong. The easiest thing was to nuke the station, start fresh, and not thumbs-up every song I like.

Because I was getting my mother sorted out with a laptop for when my sister moved out and wanted to make sure they could stay in touch?
-
-
Because I was curious about the store and because I know full well it made no actual difference in usage since my mother would just full screen it anyway?
She plays FarmVille. A LOT.

For many people, the app one would be fine, snapped at the minimum size to the side of a screen, or fullscreen. Most people don't need to multitask.
I'm almost never doing one thing exclusively, so it doesn't work for me except on my tablet.
As an added benefit, if they get it from the store, it's not a virus, which is another huge concern when dealing with normal people.

Answer: Because that's how people often do video chats, so that they can pretend that they're looking through a really dirty window at the person they're talking to.
I don't, but my point is that normal people do.

At a guess, Tainted Love (Manson) -> Tainted Love (Soft Cell) -> other 80s music

My playlist just played Welcome to my Life by Simple Plan. Sounds nice, but those lyrics... How could someone sing that without laughing?
