When you apply Discourse properties to handwear
-
Yes, they are gloves that are a handset for your phone.
-
How wonderfully useful that. Must have nao.
-
-
figures you phone junkie would not be able to resist.
-
Be sure to get one and review it for us. Part of your review should include "Is it possible to not look like a damned idiot while using them".
-
I don't think it is.
-
Too bad it costs $50. If it were in the $15-$20 range, I'd consider sending a set to Jeff, as this is totally up his alley.
-
$15-$20 should be enough to put a cheap rent-boy "up his alley", surely?
-
Along with moar brownies?
-
and you told me it was all about cacti and certain spiked items on this forum.

Probably not a "clean" one. Let's roll with it.
-
-
is it bad that i want a pair?
i've got better gloves, and i don't wear then, but i want these....
no idea what i'd do with them, but that's not the point!
-
is it bad that i want a pair?
Yes. That is worse than saying you are a fan of Lotus Notes.
Ok, maybe not, but it is close.
-
and you told me it was all about cacti and certain spiked items on this forum.
Yes but we rather suspect Jeff might enjoy that and we wouldn't want that.
-

You better be careful. @Arantor only brings up such things because he is in to it. Check his browser history, you will see what we mean.
(seriously, are all of the emoticons and emojis on this site taking a combination of lithium and speed?)
-

OH man, they're on sale!! Hmm... I could use a new pair of gloves. It gets very cold in Cleveland, and it was frustrating to not have capacitive touch gloves last ...
Quick! Someone push me over the fence as to why I should/n't buy. I'll debate buying this all day otherwise.
-
Hey, you thought using Discourse for this group was a good idea. Just roll with it.
-
buy them! and if you don't like them you cna sell them on craigs list (or hack them into something cool and/or annoying)
-
Lotus notes was a good mail client back when it was first releasesd.
now? not so much. mailx has a more functional user interface than modern lotus notes.

In between the TDWTF and the SMF, you assume there is any browser history?
(That, and http://localhost/ of course.)
-
browser history?
wait.... what?
[copulation: vulgar, perjorative]!
/me runs away to get a medium sized pinch to nuke my browser history from orbit....
-
TWIST MY ARM WHY DONT YOU!
-
not that i'm suggesting anything, but don't you think it would have been wiser to blur that info around this crowd?
-
That and his home address?
-
pretty sure that's @apapadimoulis's office address actually.
-
It is, though it's not like it's hard to find out my home address, public records and all.
And for all you know, I really paid with an AMERICAN EXPRESS that expires 3/15! OBFUSCATION BY INDIRECTION!
-
There are some things about @Arantor even I dont want to know.
(well.... that or crystal meth)
-
if so, then i applaud you for your masterful edit of the image (or the use of Google Wallet)
elsewise.... hmm office address...

I'm confused. Where's the tea?

Pervert.
I was actually crashing that one last night. I was causing PHP to cause Apache to crash.
-
-
Now that this is out here, I see a crapload of pizza deliveries c/o @tufty.
-
Arthur Dent‽
I am British, I do like my tea and I do know where my towel is. It is not, however, from M&S.
-
-
-
It's the accent. You should hear the accent.
-
You should hear the accent.
oh, i would like to. :-D
but if we want to continu, might i suggest changing venue to PM or the questions thread?

/me mimes things flying over my head. Pizzas, perhaps.

-
"what's that rubbing sound?"
-
Must include real life screenshots.
-

I had my mobile phone number on my whois records for years, not even a single phone call. Then I changed registrars who now don't let me enter my own details.
So... Lonely...

If you post your number here, I'm sure we can arrange for you to get plenty of calls

I still get constant scam emails for a domain I owned years ago, telling me my domain is about to expire and providing a fake "Pay Invoice Now" button, all because I didn't use a private registration one time.
-
I used to get some of those, but they dropped off after I transferred the domain to someone else. It was always entertaining to get mail that referenced an address 3-4 places back, with a particular typo in my name.

I get those once in a great while. All of mine are registered through my ISP (not the cheapest registration in town, but still very reasonable at $10/year) and are set to auto-renew. Any email I get (except from my ISP) about domain renewal gets Shift+Del without being opened.

I don't know if I have ever explicitly said what I do. I own an IT outsourcing service where SMBs can outsource to us instead of hiring their own IT people, and they get a broader range of talent than they could get with one or two people.
That being said, we get calls/emails about this almost once a week. Those fucking assholes will send mailers that look like invoices. It is only in the fine print that you see (not an invoice). I think every full service IT business should send this out as a FAQ. "If you see this, you can tell them to FOAD"
-
We should maybe send some salmiakki to @apapadimoulis in return for him giving us discourse.
