@dcon Monologue, I believe. Although even dialogue seems preferable to none at all.
IDK, I kinda like the peace and quiet of it all...
-
@GOG Weird. I have to really try not to think about anything (which creates said monologue, even if it's just random la-la at times).
Would it be that because you are used to peace and quiet, you also would fare better in those anechoic chambers?

I've wanted to try one for the longest time!
But I hear they're not toys and indeed quiet expensive.

quiet expensive.
Indeed, an expensive way to get quiet.

@da-Doctah My understanding is that in the Jewish culture of counting days, "three days and three nights" was just a poetic way of saying three days where any part of a day and/or night still counted, and everything was one-indexed due to zero not being a widespread concept. So counting any part of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday would end up with Sunday being "the third day". (Plus maybe some confusion as to what was a "day", since generally it started at sunset which can make things quite different than we usually think of them.)
Not that I'm a mod in these parts, but lets not make the funny stuff thread a discussion on religion.
I feel the same, but my on post in this and the first couple of responses were more in the nature of a reference to something that happens to appear in a religious book, not religion itself. (When I was in high school they had a class on "The Bible As Literature"; it was in the English department, not theology or even social sciences.)

@topspin Why does Monty Python's "it's only wafer thin" suddenly pop into my mind...
-
@dcon I don't know why Mrs Creosote would make you think of them.

What's the use of Io
TS then???

@Zerosquare I guess the alternating magnetic field was either not strong enough or not in correct direction in order to create sufficient current.

@topspin interesting. The "companion video" that goes more into the details of "why?" is fun to watch (like most ElectroBOOM videos), though I have to admit it's quickly getting above my casual understanding of electricity.

@jinpa 'Tis the season for it. Certain other folks have unexpectedly risen these past few days, too.
"Unexpectedly"... He told his disciples that he'd rise again. How is that unexpected?
Like all those times I told my boss something was going to happen. Days in advance, sometimes up to half a year. And it was still totally "unexpected" when it actually happened.
Or like most of the stuff in the Unexpected Backfires thread.

@acrow Yes, but I meant Jeff
PSA: Everyone, feel free to rescind your if you were thinking I was thinking about the other guy whose name starts with Je

@Applied-Mediocrity And you waited 3 whole days for somebody to take the bait, just so you could make this joke?

Yeah,
And lo, from the chaos a voice spake unto me: "Be thou thankful and joyous for it might be worse."
And I was thankful. And I was joyous.
And it was worse.

@dcon AI art is getting almost impressive....?

@Tsaukpaetra There are very strange things that live in the sea. You might even hold one up in your right hand to take a photo of it. Of course to get the right focal length you might have to hold it out a little bit.

I know what it is. I'm rationalizing why someone thought it might be a curly-haired woman.
Anyways, funny stuff!

I know Takei often passed for straight, but I don't remember him as an alien.

@da-Doctah the US did, his family spent time in an internment centre for being Japanese in America just after WWII.
Sorry for going off topic, just that one felt too important to let slide.
