@Benjamin-Hall You could easily solve this problem with some 226Ra

@Benjamin-Hall nevermind the charging, I'd expect those die to also be horribly balanced.

I'd wonder whether the balance changes as the charge level changes?

@dkf Have you ever some less computer-savvy person by telling them that the weight of a hard drive (or USB stick) varies with the amount of data on it?
It's kind of like the "download more RAM" thing but the "weight of data" is much more intuitive (not everybody understands what "RAM" is) and thus works even with e.g. children. It's probably similar to rewinding DVDs (which only works with people -enough to remember tapes).
Once you've established that basic "fact" you can build on it to explain for example why it's important to regularly empty your laptop/phone to keep it light.
-
@remi I was actually wondering whether charging the battery shifts the location of the centre of mass slightly. That would actually make some sort of sense. (The answer is probably "yes, but you can't normally measure it" but I'm not sure that that is the answer...)

Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared.

I was wondering about that as well but it just seems to affect the "bounciness". Because when I read about a common test to see whether your batteries are charged or not (you let them fall on the desk over a short distance and if they bounce they are charged) I was prepared to call bullshit. But turns out that the commonly used electrolyte changes from watery to jelly-like depending on the level of charge and that indeed affects its bounciness.
But mass should not be affected.

Meanwhile I'm surprised at the variety they already had:

@Zecc missing Plowy McPlowface.

@Gribnit That's the thing, you can't vote for that name because it is already in use.

@JBert Have you seen Massachusetts's list yet, along with I-think-that-may-be-trademark-infringement logos?

(I also don't know if they managed to misspell "Arctic" in the logo, or if missing the first "c" makes it a pun of some sort that I'm not getting.)

I very much doubt that any of the logos those were based on were registered in the context of snowploughs.

As they are not marketing anything trademark does not apply.
