"I don't know, what is the difference between Harakiri and Sepukku?"
I wasn't trying to tell a joke. I genuinely don't know and was interested and I thought of it because I misstyped hair as hari the first time I wrote my previous post.
Sepukku is the more proper term. Harakiri literally means "belly slashing", and is the term Americans are more likely to use.

Except that they're more likely to say "herikeri", getting three of the four vowels wrong in the process.

That's not quite up there with the most legendary spellaring of all time: Catherine the Great was rumoured to be able to make eight spelling mistakes in a two letter word.

fwoof!
Out of context, but: Creates an image of a canine trying to talk with a squeaky toy in their mouth.
Edit: Not too sure what the significance (may be a Terry Practchet thing, a la Delphine Angua von Überwald) of the squeaky toy is, but the squeaker has to work and it is expected (quite often successfully) to invoke fear in those that hear it

You've just seen 'Snatch' once too often.

Sounds more like Gaspode than Angua, though I don't really see either of them with a squeaky toy.
-
Gaspode treats squeaky toys and something to avoid as they are a symbol of being domesticated, and thus "not a wolf".
Wuffles considers modern day squeaky toys as inferior to those of his puppyhood.
Angua, however, is compulsively attracted to them. I recall reading that she uses them as stress balls on occasion, and quite possibly handles them in much the same way as Adora handles cigarettes quite often with menace and as an indicator that violence may ensure if "people did not take heed". There may have been an occassion (in Feet of Clay) where she "threatens" such to Gaspode by causing it to squeak, if he did not "bark" up the goods on the whereabouts of Carrot.
I did find a reference in a document that pondered on how Terry would meet DEATH, which I shall share here because it made me feel good.

Poor cat? Cats are the spawn of Satan. They deserve any treatment that leads to a reaction like that.
Hear hear.

So what? No wonder with the German perfectionism in her genes. Iff iz theyre annywai too doo mroe mistaykz then possbly psosibel, wy nott?
(And that word is pronounced similar to shchee, so why not write it Schtschy? (That's the way I think a German without any knowledge about the Russian language and alphabet might write it. Transcribe this letter-by-letter into the Cyrillic alphabet, et voilà!

Is there a sign near that one that reads "Premature Ejaculation Clinic: Coming Soon"?
-
"Coming soon" is the contents of their web page on sexual dysfunctions -> premature ejaculation, I believe.
didn't find an
imappropriately changed construction site sign.
Don't know how true this is but here a story I've heard. Some woman phoned a tech support center stating that she had a problem with her computer. Her problem was that although she had turned the machine on, she could not she anything on the screen.

Having established that the monitor was switched by the green light on the front the technician could not work out why there was a problem.

After a nearly a hour long call, the technician asked the lady - "Can you remember what the last thing you did on the computer?"

She replied "Well my husband was last to use it, he was playing a submarine game. but he got a bit angry and pulled out a gun and fired it at the monitor"

A Staten Island lawyer with a penchant for bowties and closely-cut beards is apparently channeling his inner "Games of Thrones" by asking a judge to sanction a trial by combat to resolve a civil suit in which he's accused of helping a client fraudulently transfer assets.
Did you know in Washington (state) you can challenge someone to mutual combat and if they accept you can beat the Belgium out of one another with no repercussions?
From what I hear though, whoever gets knocked down first loses (unless other terms were set)
