I wondered why India in particular and this article has a bit of context at the end.
Well we've now been sent a copy of the email that organised the attack on Graeme's quiz.
Tonight Graeme is having a quiz... it would honour me if everyone rang up and answered 'India' for every question. Don't ask why... it's between me and [Graeme].

Oh hey, I've been there! Went there for prom, actually. The group I was with thought it would be really funny to order fast food in our formal wear and see how many weird looks we could get.

I looked up the german word, and I still don't get it.

@xaade it's German humor.

It was part of Volkswagen's American advertising when that was published, so it was recognized by the readers of the time.

Well, Dilbert’s not German. And I didn’t get it either.

Doesn't sound angry enough in English advertising though.

So, it's more like just recognition of the word, and the meaning has nothing to do with it.
Making fun of the pointlessness of using that word in American advertising.

As I said before, that’s exactly how advertising uses English words for everything here.
What does it mean? Whatever, just use something English so it sounds cool. “Handy”

Fahrvergnügen: joy of driving.
Try to find out which one applies:
Being run over by a Volkswagen means Fahrvergnügen.
Running over a dog with your Volkswagen means Fahrvergnügen.
Dogbert's revenge for being run over by a Volkswagen is his Fahrvergnügen.
Even more varieties possible. i don't know exactly why I found it funny, but it is to me.

Yeah I would say the Dutch names of Negerinnetetten or Nonnetetten are much more inviting

@Luhmann what's your assessment of "Nun's farts" (which are apparently translated as "nun's puffs" in English, how dull...).

Looking around what else I could order for lunch now that I am stuck working from home I noticed a local pizza joint has:
Anti vegetariana
sugo, mozzarella, ham, bacon, salami, onion
