@Tsaukpaetra Looks like a downgrade. You had 6 wifis before, now only 5

WRT___'s
Yeah, they're all WRT54g units. One for each room, and living room, and the one that was meant to be the actual router.
@TwelveBaud said in The Official Status Thread:
Start with DDWRT
Yes, they all have DD-WRT on them from about a decade ago, wasn't sure if any recent builds were still being maintained, but
@TwelveBaud said in The Official Status Thread:
Tomato
Ah, would need to stand up a build environment for that. Hopefully it's gotten a smidge easier than impossible to do if you're not a Linux god?
@TwelveBaud said in The Official Status Thread:
later entries in the WRT series don't have enough storage to boot most alternate firmware,
Yeah, I believe they're all the 2MB ROM versions. Will have to boot them to check.... After all, they didn't need to be anything more than an AP so I wasn't so picky.

The new ones are harder, better, faster, and stronger. Doing more, with less!

Or just look at the shiny silver sticker on the bottom. 5.0-7.x are the bad ones...

Status: Has it been mentioned recently that Windows' support for Bluetooth fucking sucks?
Somehow, it managed to confuse my headset so badly, it doesn't even know if it's on or not. Right now, the LED is solid red, indicating it's charging, but lo, it isn't even plugged in.

I have, 1.1, 8, 2, 3, 5.

The 2 and 3 have hot USB pads on the mainboards, so if you want to turn one of them into a light-duty NAS (maybe a backup target?) go for it!
-
@TwelveBaud said in The Official Status Thread:
USB pads on the mainboards,
Oh? Well that's nifty.
@TwelveBaud said in The Official Status Thread:
light-duty NAS
Heh, I have a not-so-light-duty NAS already. But USB does introduce some possibilities...

What are you complaining about? Windows added wireless charging support to your headset!

Status: Looks like something got fucked in DNS somewhere. Nothing on my end. I blame Bluehost/Namecheap.
Edit: Yeah, seems like ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com are fuxed.
Why are there only two nameservers? Who the fuck knows, but both are down...
Edit edit: And now they're back. Whatever.
Edit edit edit: And they're down again. I'm done, wake me up when something actually happens.

Does the object have some roll or something?
At that point it's a quat.
GetRightVector()
simply doesRotateVector(FVector(0.f, 1.f, 0.f));
which does:const FVector Q(X, Y, Z); const FVector T = 2.f * FVector::CrossProduct(Q, V); const FVector Result = V + (W * T) + FVector::CrossProduct(Q, T); return Result;
....
No I have no idea what any of that means, but it doesn't end up doing what I thought it would do.
In 2D space, a 90° rotation is simply the matrix
[[0, 1], [-1, 0]]
. Negate if you need to go the other way.In 3D space, there is an entire circle of directions which are 90° from directly forward, and to get the right-hand side you need to get either the 'up' or the 'down' vector involved. The vector orthogonal to two given vectors can be obtained by taking the cross product between the two, so
CrossProduct(Front,Up)
will yield the Right-facing vector, andCrossProduct(Up, Front)
will give the Left-facing vector.Or the other way round. It's been a while.

Status: Well, my throat is still sore after the weekend activities. Nearly getting choked by a big, burly man is not pleasant.
Surprisingly, my body is not as sore as I thought it would become. Maybe picking up Beat Saber helped prevent that a bit by giving me some training beforehand.
(Was training hand-to-hand combat, learning new tricks and refreshing old ones.)
Speaking of, I should go pick up a scale and see if Beat Saber will have any effect on my weight...

There must be a nest of ants behind the wall or something; there's no other way they could so efficiently locate any bits of food left unattended here and nowhere else. I have an idea of the place they are most certainly located, but becoming sure of that is .

@Cursorkeys said in The Official Status Thread:

Task Manager monitors I/O throughput, probably using
DeviceIOControl
and therefore has a file handle open on the device. Not sure why it wouldn't let up even if that were the case, but it's not entirely unpossible.

Ironically, sometimes antivirus software is to blame for that problem.

@GÄ…ska Thanks, now I'm singing Portal.
