Status: The WTDWTF April Fool's joke is pretty funny and confusing at the same time (it's just past midnight here, and apparently it uses local date).
It's the least annoying one in recent memory.
Personally, I think the post rotation was the best one so far. But not many people would have agreed back then.

Ah, shit. I'm having to actually do this to a load of classes because the exact text when serialised to XML is important so a
decimal
with a value of2.0
needs to be distinct from one with a value of2

Huh, some recruiter wanted to talk to me in December. Wonder if they're still interested in someone who can write SQL scripts from scratch?
Just a SQL developer? Those roles still exist? I was pleasantly surprised at my last two roles when there was a division of labour between front end and back end.

Drastic measures! Only for lent I hope. I've come to the conclusion that tech professionals are like Bender, a minimum amount of alcohol is required for proper operation.

Status: UE4 apparently doesn't actually use the function GetTypeHash that it told you to create/override when programming in blueprints, because why would it?
Oh wait, it does, but it apparently doesn't use the equality comparator to actually verify it found the key in the hashset.
Fucking hell.
Also, Fuck you UE4!

Converted the blueprint code to C++ as $Deity intended.
Unfortunately, that mysteriously causes it to not be working the same, in that it actually indexes the TMap correctly, but now no longer knows who the active player is.
Tomorrow!

Yes, yes. On the plus side, it does have the right size slot for the stupid dual-NIC Intel card I don't actually need, so I could have a four-port system if I really wanted...

volatile char Buffer[400]; void foo(void) { const volatile char *response; response = Buffer; <---- AddressError here...sometimes ... }
I have a suspicion the cause is something horrible like alignment, but a single char shouldn't ever have alignment issues, and why would it be sporadic with no code changes. Urghhhh

Does it go away if you replace it with the semantically equivalent&Buffer[0]
?It does. Although it has stopped crashing now anyway. I'm going to have to look at the generated assembly I think.
Edit: It's running off a hardware emulator, so it isn't impossible that the emulator is at fault. The hardware dev tools aren't exactly the most stable.
