Status: Hm, apparently that hotspot on my foot that cropped up Tuesday was in fact an actual problem, even though the mixed run/walk I did on Wednesday didn't seem to aggravate it. So either i use a different gait between running and walking as fast as I can manage while my flabby programmer lungs suck wind (versus walking at 4mph), or I didn't check the hotspot well enough on Wednesday and just didn't notice it over the ankles bitching about the running :/
Off to get some moleskin... and better running shoes...

@Tsaukpaetra That sounds more like a fan touching a cable, like those SATA cables you've been playing with.
status: wasn't any cable touching the fan. I think the bearing just wore out. Removed the offender and swapped it out.
Plugged it in standalone and lo and behold it makes that noise (and added bonus: doesn't spin fast at all).
Whatever it's not like cooling is important on a server...

You would find playing piano, organ or harp difficult, where you usually need to do entirely different things with each hand and with your feet. Most other instruments aren't much easier than that either (e.g., string instruments mostly don't use the feet, but do require very different actions with each hand).

Yes. I don't play piano very well at all, unless it's just one hand.
But I do very well on trombone!

My roommate's cat is usually extremely grumpy. Always hiding away from any other cats and people. Does not tolerate being touched. Never purrs.
Yet on rare occasions, out of the blue he will come to my room, sit on my lap, start purring, nuzzling against me, and tapping my face gently with his paw to get kisses .
Cats are weird.

Clearly that nice cat isn't yours and in fact is a temporary replacement while "your" cat is off on an important world-saving mission.

Speaking of Twitch, I got a PS4 yesterday and linked my Twitch account with it. It didn't ask me for the account details or anything, just as soon as I clicked the "link with Twitch" menu option it spun for a second and showed my Twitch account name and "all done"
My Twitch account is registered to a different email address than PSN (I'm tr) and I don't think there was any reason or means to link PSN with Twitch before the PS4, so how did it a) know the account and b) automatically allow itself to do that?
Maybe I linked it from Twitch years ago and forgot about it?

Funny enough, one of the computers in the "needs this" list doesn't even support Windows 10, and certainly doesn't have the HD space for an upgrade attempt, so it will be fun to see how that goes along...
Edit: Did you know that the update to Anniversary Edition supercedes itself?

I'm confused. Is that how fast 2.1 Gbps is? Apparently the disk is reading at 5.5 MB/s, and that's 'cause I'm copying 30 GB of shit to everyone's PC, but somehow I'm not believing the comparison, and there's no way Windows cached 30 GB of data in
1615.6 GB of RAM...5.5 MB/s is 44 Mb/s, which is a rather small fraction of 2.1 Gbps.
