This makes it so that holding down Shift causes pieces that aren't attached to anything to be repelled from the edges of the window, from the inner area of the puzzle, and from each other, so they all spread out in the empty space around the sides. They stop moving when you release the key.
(function () { var k; document.body.addEventListener('keydown', function (e) { if (e.charCode == 0 && e.shiftKey) { if (!k) k = setInterval(function () { var r = 0, p = piecesToDraw.filter(c => !c.levelData.inPlace && c.levelData.group.length < 2 && c != draggingPiece) .map(c => ({x: c.levelData.cx, y: c.levelData.cy, c: c})), l = p.length; p = p.concat(piecesToDraw.filter(c => !c.levelData.inPlace && c.levelData.group.length > 1 && c != draggingPiece) .map(c => ({x: c.levelData.cx, y: c.levelData.cy}))); p = p.concat(piecesToDraw.map(c => ({x: c.levelData.fx, y: c.levelData.fy}))); if (draggingPiece) p.push({x: draggingPiece.levelData.cx, y: draggingPiece.levelData.cy}); p.push({x: 0, y: 0}); for (var v = [], i = 0; i < l; ++ i) { var x = 0, y = 0; for (var j = 0; j < p.length; ++ j) if (j != i) { var a, xo = p[i].x - p[j].x, yo = p[i].y - p[j].y; var m = Math.sqrt(xo * xo + yo * yo); if (!xo && !yo) a = Math.random() * Math.PI * 2; else a = Math.atan2(xo, yo); var d = (j < l ? 15 : 30) / Math.pow(1 + Math.pow(m / 60, 2), 1.8); x += d * Math.sin(a); y += d * Math.cos(a); } v[i] = {x: x, y: y}; } var h = window.innerHeight / 2, w = window.innerWidth / 2; for (var i = 0; i < l; ++ i) { v[i].x += 25 / (1 + Math.pow((-w - v[i].x) / 100, 2)) - 25 / (1 + Math.pow((w - v[i].x) / 100, 2)); v[i].y += 25 / (1 + Math.pow((-h - v[i].y) / 100, 2)) - 25 / (1 + Math.pow((h - v[i].y) / 100, 2)); p[i].c.levelData.cx = p[i].x = Math.max(-w + 100, Math.min(w - 100, p[i].x + v[i].x)) || 0; p[i].c.levelData.cy = p[i].y = Math.max(-h + 100, Math.min(h - 100, p[i].y + v[i].y)) || 0; } redraw(); }, 10); } }); document.body.addEventListener('keyup', function (e) { if (k) { clearInterval(k); k = null; piecesToDraw.forEach(c => { if (!c.levelData.inPlace && c.levelData.group.length < 2 && c != draggingPiece) { c.levelData.cx = Math.floor(c.levelData.cx); c.levelData.cy = Math.floor(c.levelData.cy); } }); redraw(); } }); })();

I don't know if that's true or not but IE still manages to cause all sorts of problems. Fuck IE.

What do you define as "most other browsers" ?
N.B.: My browser is Chrome v.55.0.2883.87 on Debian
-
@boomzilla The thing is that most devs (as a web dev myself) used to do all their work on WebKit (Blink is a fork of that code base).
So Safari or Chome.
Flybe in Firefox about a year ago wouldn't let me complete a booking and actually locked out my account. The same reg process worked fine in Chrome with is Blink.
I did a lot of my front end work when IE6 was still something to actually care about. So it forces you to write better code.

Yeah, in particular I'm dealing with IE 11.

So Safari or Chome.I developed using chromium. Then I tested with FF and found one thing that needed changing (FF treats rowspan=0 as SPAN ALL THE ROWS). Then I started testing with IE and it was like nothing worked. That's an exaggeration, but almost all of the
localStorage
stuff was broken, in part because IE fires the storage event in the window that made the change.

@boomzilla If you guys don't want the truth ... that isn't my problem.
IE8 JS engine is slow as fuck. that is the big problem with it.
I am sure some dickhead will talk about CSS3 but if you design relies on it isn't a good design.

I own 5 games named Counter-Strike, and 2 of them have achievements. Both have an achievement named SAR Czar: Rescue 500 hostages, but that requires walking with the hostage to your base. Did you make your own custom map or something?

I used this one. Just hold E and you're automatically rescuing one hostage per second (or per five seconds without defuser). And since keypresses are technically macros for console commands, you can just enter
+use
and you have to do literally nothing.

That sucks.
Chemo saved my sister in law from stage four breast cancer and a cousin from non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Cancer is a terrible and diverse disease. It's pretty impressive how much treatment has improved over the last few decades.

The chemo is worse than the disease, for sure. About the only good thing about the chemo is that if it kills the cancer without killing you, you'll eventually get better from it.

Really glad it worked for them. I'm convinced it works in a minority of cases.

Probably, but my sister died about 1.5 years ago. I don't think it really improved in the last year.

Some cancers are more treatable than others.
-
@TimeBandit said in The Official Status Thread:

I suspect it probably has for at least some cancers. I pulled data for the US on incidence and death per 100,000 from 1975-2013 and graphed it:

@anotherusername said in The Official Status Thread:

And that depends on both where they are in the body (because cells respond to their physical environments in various ways, even when cancerous) and what the exact set of mutations in the cancer cells are. Cancer is tricky, and our debugging tools for this sort of thing suck.
