Problem solved. When the
user
option is present in the fstab, mount
now ignoresexec
and setsnoexec
instead, regardless of wether the mountpoint is mounted byroot
or another user. No warning thatuser
andexec
are incompatible, of course...

Or the side of the beer crate, because six-packs are for sissies
I usually buy beer by the "suitcase." Also, they're kept in the fridge. I had children so that I don't have to make that trek myself. Wife definitely wouldn't let me keep something like that next to the sofa.

I've had my contact lenses in for 2 hours and not one person has commented... (current avatar with white background was taken 15 mins ago..)

Why would you expect people to comment on you putting in contact lenses?
EDIT: oh, do you normally wear glasses, I guess? I'm confused.
-
They're not ordinary contacts; look at the picture.

Status: Unexpected doughnuts. Last week was doughnut Friday, so did not expect them this week. Maple bar with BACON! :) No sugar for tea.
Edit: Found a couple of sugar packets in my personal tea stash. This afternoon will be less pleasant, however, unless the person responsible for stocking the lunch room gets its act together.

There's no picture on the post, at least, not on my screen... Discourse fail?

His avatar.

Man I'm on my laptop. 13.3" 1080p screen. I can't make that shit out.
I guess (and I literally physically moved the laptop closer to my eyes here) it's like a Omega Man zombie eyes thing?

Omega Man zombie eyes thing
Something like that, I guess. Whatever it's supposed to be, it's creepy (but not a lot creepy, at least to me; I've seen a lot worse).

Well maybe we'll luck out and PJH will post a photo larger than 3 microns. :)

He did, in the Lounge.

the power of photoshop!
(also sorry @pjh...)

This is what counter / table edges are for.
Also: pocket knives, screwdrivers, Reese hitches (be careful, or you will knock the top off the bottle), kitchen knives, scissors, wrenches, pliers, exposed framing (as in garages), errant bits of wood...I had a friend who used to call me "the MacGyver of opening beer bottles. I used to carry a Spyderco Endura pocket knife that was just perfect for levering off a beer cap, in addition to being a damned fine pocket knife.

Avatar on profile page is larger.

I think you underestimate the DPI of a 13.3" 1080p screen. That's the one I was looking at... I still had to physically move my eyeballs closer to the monitor.
-
I generally don't have trouble seeing things on my 10" 1080p Surface 2 tablet. Tapping things, on the other hand, is sometimes an exercise in futility.

Well I'm not going to claim to have the best eyes in the universe. Also I was actually using my laptop on my lap, I'm guessing the typical tablet usage is to have it closer to your face. But whatever: point is, the image was tiny and I had no clue what PJH was talking about originally.

I can't make that shit out.
Sounds like you might be needing glasses
Also I was going to say there is a bigger picture else ware but that would be pointless.

Chili cook-off at work today. It may be an interesting afternoon.
-
Wife definitely wouldn't let me keep something like that next to the sofa.
You don't have a dorm fridge out there? Sucker.
-
status. friday evening. got the vodka, out of cranberry juice. hmm.... what else that i have in the house goes well with vodka?
-
Orange juice?
-
wish i had that. screwdrivers are second only to the cape cod for awesome
-
I'd start with a glass, but that's just me.
-
it dies help to not drink directly from the bottle. :-D

Soju

Let's go fancy: Kirr Royale
-
Basically anything can go with shitty vodka (I am assuming shitty because you are looking to mix your potato juice with something).
-
not rotgut, not true topshelf. i go high end of the middle.
never got used to it straight, even when i got the really good stuff, so i save a but of cash and get the slightly cheaper stuff.
-
Basically the question then is what kinds of juice do you have (or soda also works)?
As a side note: what gets called top shelf in the US isn't a good idea anyway as people here seem to think that vodka is supposed to be flavorless (or worse yet needs flavoring added to it).
-
i tend to get this these days: http://www.coldrivervodka.com/vodka/
as for juice... i have an unopened thing of prune with about an inch of dust on it, a can of tomato juice that looks like it was canned in the 60s and root beer.
i really need to go grocery shopping this weekend.

"The US" is a pretty big place.
That's definitely not true in Western Washington. If anything, drinkers here are too goddamned snobby. Especially with beers, but I've seen the same with vodkas.
-
there's also grocery store top shelf and liquor store top shelf...
-
Looks fancy. Also sounds like you are going to be mixing with root beer.

True, just seems that most people I've encountered online that think that are from the US. And if you think that I don't know why they don't just buy everclear and water it down.

Or filter grain alcohol through toast. I've always wanted to try that.
Bonus points if it's grain alcohol used as fuel in a WWII torpedo.
