who the hell though this was a good idea/UX?
It's likely DRM, so no UX is by design.
-
Believe me, I understand why they want me to install this stuff, what I don't get is why I can't, for example, access my user profile without them.
-
there's also the "use the IE8 rendering engine"
TIL
anyway, i had the XP iso at hand and i know it'll work with it. i could look for a W7 iso but you know, work.

Status: the new office coordinator is kicking ass and taking names. The snack rack is overfilled to the food prep counter, there's full-on sandwich stuffs in there, fresh fruits up the wazzang, OMG. We're all going to get fat as hell.
EDIT: Goddamned she brought in Pocky. I'm eating the shit out of some Pocky right now.

TFF=Texas Furry Fiesta
Day Zero=opening ceremonies are tomorrow morning
LineCon=today is the day you pick up preregistration badges, and usually the lines for elevators begin. All the lines. Lines everywhere.

We're all better off not being in the state of Texas.

There's only two types from Texas, steers and queers.
I think Fox might slot into the second category. Although he could easily come up with a fursuit that would cover both bases.

It's still better than Detroit.

All hail your masters in the Registration table!
FWIW, I'm trying to convince our Con to send out ID barcodes so the poor folks at reg don't have to try spellaring out peoples names from what they hear, or if they didn't put in a real name.
Of course, I'm also trying to convince them that it's not necessary to load all multi-thousands-records before starting to search....

with (select * from users) as users drop table users; -- Cache into memory before drop

If you manage to actually encode that into a barcode
expected to betruncated to max eight digits, I promise I will attempt to genuinely scan it in.

I prefer the rest of that particular strip. :)
-
Because there are only six and there are several thousand attendees.

Which con? =o

Is it actually in a conference center, or just some random high-rise?
How incompetent was the builder of that conference center if there's not enough elevators? Also: how fat are furries on average that they don't just take the stairs.
-
not enough elevators?
Depends on the line designers. We could (for example, I don't personally have control over this), actually go up (and down) the stairs, but if someone falls down...
how fat are furries on average
Not very, from what I understand. It takes a lot of energy and all that.

status****strong text Learned about
git gc --prune=now
And case sensitivity of branch names on Windows. Not.Luckily we could merge 'x' into 'X' in stash, delete 'x' there, and then gc locally. Life continues.

This one is in a hotel. Anthrocon is in a conference center, but the main hotel is where the elevator lines are.@blakeyrat said:

Again, it's a hotel, but fairly.@blakeyrat said:

My room, for example, is on the 9th floor. I already walk 12k+ steps every day of a con, often while encased in a thick layer of fur on every extremity. I don't need more exercise, and my feet hurt plenty by the end of a con without adding stairs. As for average size; it varies. Fursuiters are usually pretty slim, the rest range from rail-thin to obese.
-
Oh man he's not just a furry but a fursuiter.

What a hideously sorted table. I hate that sort of thing.
What a hideously sordid tale. Tell me more

Status: Huh. So I guess I now have a $7000 credit line? What would I use this for?
Paying off your credit card.
-
-
I was going to joke that "it says CON, so it's probably some furry shit". But then thought "nah, too obvious a joke". And now...
-
I already walk 12k+ steps every day of a con
- Why not take on a fursona that can fly? Fewer steps
- Are you on all fours? Does that mean you're only doing 6k human steps, but cheating the math?
- Why not just take up a spot in the lobby and let people
yiffrub your tummy the whole con, so you don't need a room
FUN FACT: I typoed it as "rub your timmy" and was half tempted to keep that, but a joke in a joke is no joke at all.

Pay off a credit card with itself? I've never tried, but somehow I don't think that will work...

Um... Y'all realize you don't just gain powers by putting on a costume, right?@Lorne_Kates said:

Because security will get the cops and arrest you. Not fun.fixing bugs
That's actually pretty funny. Don't want them to reproduce and make more little buggies, now, do we?

Relying on people to actually bring documentation with them is asking for trouble.

Just intoxicated enough to not care about putting spaces around operators, but still sober enough to write code that's semantically correct.

Status: Having trouble sleeping after an evening that started out well enough, but was ruined by someone's ineptitude, which padded something that should've been done in 3 ½ hours at most to where it was only half done 2 ¾ hours after starting, so I had to drop out.
Also, not looking forward into troubleshooting some VBA project for AutoCAD tomorrow for a client that is only coming up since they're upgrading to AutoCAD 2016.

STATUS Having lost the will to live but not being able to find a scissors sharp enough to open a vein I en-devour to continue mangling the gui. Unfortunately a part of the gui that I deleted last week is actually used quite extensively by users outside the company(The development team only learned about them yesterday) completely fucked everything we've done for the last week or so.
Back to the drawing board.

Ooooh, CentOS. I used to listen to those guys. My favourites are "All our packages are ancient" and "Compile from source (All night long)".

Just read everything faster. While this won't fix the lame-ass notification system, it will mean you get to read my unbelievable wisdom sooner anyway.
The “unbelievable” is accurate…

STATUS
My sister found a yodel note on the ground addressed to us at the gate to our avenue. Apparently this is their third attempt to deliver to us. Fuck only knows where the first two are.
