Your jimmies appear to be rustled.

Wtf? How did it get the quote from an entirely different post??

Still highlighted from the previous post?

Apparently you rustled your own jimmies. I hope you did that in the privacy of your own home.
-
Who fucking knows? I wish those contemptible bastards would quit bikeshedding and clear some bugs. The mobile experience is shit.

It's mine . I will wash it as much as I want to and for as long as I want to.

Oh you are on mobile. Yeah that's different.
Not that the desktop experience is amazing.

Is that called "debugging"?

It's not a bug if there isn't a report, right?

Joseph "Sarge" Conrad: You know, the claws of those Swarm drones can rip right through our armor.

David "Crash" Murphy: That mean you wanna go home now, Sarge?

STATUS: Cleaning up my HDD, I find a file called "Wizardry-8-Reforged-v-1-1.zip". Turns out it's some kind of "smooth out all the wrinkles" patch for Wizardry 8.
10 minutes later, I'm at the new party creation screen.
"So.... how do I min-max this thing?"
Off to the google!
I fully expect to play with the party creation for a bit and never even start the game proper.
-
Status: This morning, got a new bug from an internal deployment, saying basically "We've got rsync issues but we're not having network issues".
2 hours later, I get round to actually handling my bug list, it's been closed by my boss+1 while setting bug priorities: "It's a network issue".
There's definitely things to complain about round here but it's not in the local team.

I Jeffed 31 posts to a new topic: In which mott555 has problems with %PATH%

I moved 31 posts to a new topic: In which mott555 has problems with %PATH%
Heh...I was just going to do that, but I couldn't get my %DISCOPATH% variable setup.

I Jeffed 2 more posts to %PATH%;In which mott555 has problems with %PATH%

Status: Nearly ran over @RaceProUK's relative or something.
No worries, reacted fast enough, completely fine, running along and doing its thing.

It's fun to play with the voices. They did lots of voices.

It's been rather odd talking about Emacs vs IDEs and how messing with your PATH is doing it wrong without a single word from you.
-
I don't even know what the fuck that thread is about, why the fuck are you sending me notifications you ass?
If I wanted to read the thread, I would.
-
There we go, that's how it ought to be!
-

Yeah, I love the voices! Great job there. Also, SO MANY FUCKING CHOICES! Agh!
-
What's worse is you have to make 6 characters and be careful not to pick duplicate voices. (I actually write down which voice each char has when I make the party.)
BTW, I dunno what that patcher does, but Wizardry 8 runs remarkably well in Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1. It also shows the old 3DFX spinning logo at a staggering 1080p, which is hilarious and amazing and awesome.

Status: finally got a good run of Landing Bay + Cargo Elevator. Running this through cmd.exe:
..\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe -i "Alien Swarm 2015.05.29 - 15.57.53.05.mp4" -b:v 8M -acodec copy -profile:v high -movflags +faststart -pass 1 -pix_fmt yuv420p -g 30 -bf 2 sd2_bots_landingbay_full.mp4
I wonder why NVIDIA Shadowplay doesn't let me record 4K video. YouTube's suggested bitrate for 4K is less than the bitrate I use for recording 1080p in Shadowplay.

Status: Just found out that Sleipnir doesn't have flash somehow.
The reason is tr :
Pandora only works if you have flash.
SE embedded videos seem to be flash.

I saw that video in the suggestions at the end of the first one. I don't think I want to know, though.

Status: Customer has our hardware in a system designed for a real-time operating system, but is using Windows instead. And they're using C#. Now they're upset because they have a requirement to do a bunch of stuff within a millisecond of an interrupt being triggered and are having trouble.

Status: Installed the Android M developer preview on my Nexus 5. Like all recent versions of Android, it allows you to kick off the download of Google account, settings and apps by putting the phone back-to-back with another Android phone and some NFC magic. Hit the option, put it against my Galaxy S5 and then the S5 tries to trigger the new device setup on itself and the Nexus 5 tells me to continue the setup on the "new" S5

Status: Ordered a Venus Flytrap. One that comes in a pot with the proper soil mix, instead of whatever my last one from Wal-Mart was in that killed it because they don't know what they're doing.

That would be NetBot; sorry
I got loads myself, so you're not the only one ;)Incidentally, you made that post from your Surface; why does the image get scaled up like that anyway? High DPI?
-
Incidentally, you made that post from your Surface;
Chromebook Pixel2 actually, the Surface lives at work these days for meetings and things. but yes, except when i'm working on graphics and things i downscale the display a fair bit to make the text easier to read.

Fair enough; it's something with a high DPI screen anyway. Why does it do that with the images though?

Status: At the Pokemon Symphonic Evolutions concert. Great music, but their mercy consists solely of a $30 logo T-shirt, two different $20 logo posters, and a $40 Pikachu plush. A bit high priced IMO. They should probably have had more. Enjoying the concert though, even if I haven't played that many of the games.
They have Who's That Pokemon playing before the show and at the intermission
-
looks like it captures at native resoution of the display (2560x1700) instead of display resolution (currently 1280x850)
-
Except I get that on my Surface, and the display resolution matches the display itself
-
-shrug- beats me then.

Status: Video upload still going, estimate 2 more hours. In bed, watching Zero Punctuation. Wondering what will happen when screens can have more than 2^32 pixels or hard drives have more than 2^64 bytes of space.

Wondering what will happen when screens can have more than 2^32 pixels or hard drives have more than 2^64 bytes of space.
New addressing modes will be used. We've already been there at least twice with hard drives.
-
And at least three times with CPUs
