And there I was thinking I could compare your screen res to mine, and see if that's part of the problem…

Status update:
Wait... They... they couldn't even have a single person read "Choose language" prompt so it doesn't sound awful when I play them in succession? Really?
Ok, ok, but at least they don't sound shockingly different, right? I mean, at least all of it is either a male or a female voice, right?
Take a wild fucking guess

For what purpose? To give Atwood free bug-triage services?
Unless you're entirely retarded, you already know how I feel about that. The more amazing thing is that you actually asked.
-
Well, that's a step in the right direction. I'd still say that proper constraints are really, really desirable, but at least you have some checks in place now.
Probably would be, but I barely know anything about databases. So just sneaking in a quick check there is really as much as I can feasibly do right now.And as I said, the database guy left and the experienced programmer is busy with something else. (And the other colleague told me to just fix it gui-side).

We won't tell ;P

Satisfying my curiosity.
@blakeyrat said:To give Atwood free bug-triage services?
One of several possible outcomes, but far from guaranteed.

I was interested, s'all…

coming to think about that.
shouldn't an image that goes in every belgium page be in the cache?
i don't want to know they are doing with the images, i really don't

Actually, scratch the whole thing; the info would be useless to me anyway; since I can't repro, I can't do a damn thing about it!

Don't you have wattage selectors on your microwaves in the U.S.?
My 1100W microwave can also run at 900W or 650W.Probably hanzoed, but I'll post anyway (if the server cooties will let me):
The magnetron always runs at the full rated power. Most (some commercial models made for trained monkeys excepted) have, as @Polygeekery stated, a "power level" setting (usually 1 to 10, IME) that varies the duty cycle of the magnetron to achieve a lower average power. AIUI, turning the magnetron on and off stresses it, so the cycle period is fairly long: a power level setting of 5 (50% power) might have the magnetron on for something like 15 or 20 seconds, then off for 15 or 20 seconds.

Of course, the cycle period is probably intelligently adjusted depending on the total cook time. A fixed cycle period of 15 seconds wouldn't be very helpful if you needed to cook something at 50% for 20 seconds. Though it looks like a question asked by one @Yamikuronue[1] might disprove my assertion.
It also appears that some newer microwaves might be using pulse-width modulation to control the power output of the magnetron, thus allowing it to remain powered through the entire cooking cycle.
[1] And that does appear to be our @Yamikuronue: http://cooking.stackexchange.com/users/6317/yamikuronue :P

Status: LOL'd because GNU Hurd turned v0.6 this week.
Really? I thought GNU Hurd was up to version 0.never.ever.nope already...

It's a unique and pretty name

The answer to a question that no one asked, and a solution for a problem that doesn't really exist.
For HURD, I think the most relevant question was "we can just stick the Linux kernel in here, right?"

It doesn't say that in Croat? :-P
Hrvatska, isn't it? (Or is it Hrvatski? I know it's Hrvat-something...)

I was dubious about it as well. I buttumed it's advice in plural as well. Then I tried it for the hell of it and the speelchucker didn't complain.
I am now confuse.

an overdue advice.
In this sense, it is a countable noun; therefore, it can be pluralized.
Edit: That is actually sense 3. I typed 3. I thought I did it in a way that Discourse wouldn't renumber it. I see now that I was wrong. Belgium if I'm going to fix it.

If that's a servercooties graph screenshot (I buttume it is, IT WON'T LOAD!):
Note that those "better" times are, from what I saw, not better times: the requests are actually timing out!
Yes, it's a bug on our (servercooties) end, those shouldn't be averaged as zeros. It's an embarrassing bug. Not as embarrassing as the whole situation is, though. Hell, we made that site because shit like this keeps happening!
What's even worse is that those sub-10s spikes are starting to become "acceptable" because of all the shitty downtime we're getting.
@sam, @apapadimoulis: What is going on?
-

they're not zeros.... there's very close though. caused by the server rejecting the connection outright (note the nonstandard return code of 599) i can remap those to something different if needed?
i wonder how Plot.ly would handle NaN as a plot value?

Nice that it doesn't even tell you which "action" triggered the warning. In case you were interested to know what it was particularly that you can't do...

Only one way to find out…But if you're gonna feed it NaNs, you should include a few poppadoms and mango chutney too ;)

something is really ill, message bus was 504ing we do not appear to be handling current load patterns
I rebuild the container to give more memory to pg, but still load is too high.

There's so much pendantry here we've become jaded.

load is too high
In what way, if you're able to reveal? If it's due to the level of activity on this site, then to me, that means the droplet needs a boost. Otherwise… well, y'know ;)

They're back up, for the moment....

I was running http://goaccess.io/ on this to see, but unfortunately I need to clean up the message bus routes so stuff aggregates better in its reports.
There is a lot of bot activity. Need to figure out what impact bots vs people have. Getting live analytics on patterns is a tricky problem that I would love to solve.

Jeffsplaining
Its actually ultimately my fault, we need to set up automated failover for redismux which we will do soon.
