Is it a furry/otherkin thing? Or are they just futureproofing for when we make contact with aliens?

Status: Wondering how someone who's effectively sacked by the BBC can appear on the BBC…
http://news.sky.com/story/1460799/clarkson-allowed-to-present-bbc-quiz-showI'd prefer a non-Murdoch news source, but meh.
-
Presumably it's a guest presenter slot, and they have those all the time. I doubt everyone they have is under a contract with the BBC.
-
Oh, absolutely. It's just odd that you'd sack someone for violent conduct, then just a few weeks later, have them as a guest presenter on another of your shows. Especially one where he will be torn apart mercilessly by Hislop and Merton
-
Status: Stuff I swear used to work decided not to work any more. Problem: it's a built-in function and I have no idea how to override the data it's sending wrong...
-
He wasn't technically sacked.
People love watching Clarkson on TV and the BBC know that. It makes commercial sense.

Apparently that's actually a correct word;
......
nope. not going to ask why that's a word....
:-P

-
Well.
That photo certainly leads to more questions...
... and nicely ties together recent trends in this thread.
-
It is because if anyone understands what you imply we get yelled at for shoulder aliens. Thus we are forced to buttume that everything you say must be taken literally due to you being some kind of trolling robot who has gotten tired.
But he's going to yell regardless, so there's no point in taking specific actions to try to prevent that.
-

Well round where I live (not that I partake of such outré fashion ideas you understand) going to the supermarket in your pyjamas is such a problem that they've been banning it. (Ok - those stories are from 5 years ago and with a major chain - it still happens with the local shops.)
-
-
That's a more...
less distractingstraightforward... response.Basically '70s tracksuits for the 2010's - for folks who can't handle the whole "put on two pieces of clothing" problem.
So, Probably more this guy than her ?

I wonder if I should start participating in this thread.

I'm surprised I haven't seen Blakey comment about that.

No the invisible one you were tipping to @Polygeekery. I need to get one for purposes.
Also, invisible hats are not currently Mad Hatter approved.

Thank you, duckwhores, for stripping the <hr> and removing the indication that I was quoting @accalia. Thanks to your wondrous abilities, the onebox of my post does not accurately reflect the meaning of my post. :slow_clap:

i thought it was heavily implied?
Maybe it was. I don't know. It's still early and my caffeine stream is still full of blood.

That thread makes me angry all over again.

The only reason the second number isn't higher is that my dad didn't know which circuit breaker was associated with his bathroom so he turned off the power to the whole house a few months ago.
Well, one of two only reasons. If you had a UPS, it would still be up.

Good thing Atwood is so against Bikeshedding. You wouldn't want them to waste time on the wording of a feature instead of fixing-- oh.

Did the compiler change at all?
-
Every time I use it, people assume I'm being literally because it's "hilarious".
They assume you're being literally what? Yourself? Wouldn't that be redundant?
-
I have not changed anything on, near, or related to the line on which the compiler is complaining of a syntax error.
Anyone change an include file? #define false true or something?
-
Did the compiler change at all?
No. Somebody renamed a class in an external library, so the compiler didn't recognize the class name when I tried to create a variable of that class, except that it didn't complain "I don't recognize this name." The class uses SystemVerilog's equivalent of a C++ template, and the compiler's complaint was "I don't expect a template here."
P.S.: Server cooties are back. Yay.
