I've never in my life remembered a dream.
I have remembered shortly before waking up jumbles of unrelated images. And I've had the "Tetris Effect" where you get obsessed over something so completely during waking hours that you keep running through it in your head while trying to get to sleep. But that's it.
I'm kind of jealous of people describing their dreams. "What did you dream last night, Blakeyrat?" "Uh. Nothing? I guess?" Oh well.
-
My wife once had a dream where she was given knowledge of an impending disaster or opportunity by an alien who looked human, was given alien technology and told to tell the world. Still essentially asleep she relayed this to me and charged me to remember it because it was very important to the world and we must tell everyone and make sure it was dealt with. She then went back to sleep and remembers none of the above.
I went out and got a burger at the local mexican restaurant (there are only so many opportunities whilst in the states to consume the intensely tasty beef - and I would not waste this one) and then went to bed myself.
-
your dreams are remarkably straightforward.
In one of my more recent ones I was walking around in public fully clothed while absolutely everyone around me was butt naked and laughing their assess off at me because i was wearing clothes.
I of course had no idea why i was wearing clothes and was embarrassed as hell, and not once did it occur to me that i could resolve the dilemma by simply taking off my clothes.
And that was one of my saner dreams. I'll spare you the one about cleaning out the sewers from the infestation of Insatiable Priapic R.O.U.S.'s

QFT. I seem to have about a dozen recurrent dreams with minor variations each time they happen.
It's possible (and probable) that I dream a lot more but I don't remember them. Recurrent dreams are pretty easy to remember because you end up reinforcing existing memories.
At one point I actually started a dream journal where I record a dream immediately after I wake up, even in the middle of the night. It was kind of interesting and had 3 - 6 entries per night, but I had a few dreams where I really questioned whether I should be putting them in writing. I could do an encrypted Word doc on my tablet but I'm sure by the time I have that overhead dealt with I'd be fully awake, forget most of the dream, and end up losing valuable sleep.
-
I average 0.7 entries a night.
I have not noticed any particular pattern in the dreams, but they tend to be... out there.
my brain is a crazy place, as evidenced my the dream i alluded to but did not describe in my earlier post.
-
One of the dreams I remember journaling (seriously, this isn't a word, DiscoFox Spell Check?) before I quit had me riding a Minecraft horse into a PlanetSide 2 battle, but I was there in person instead of playing a game. And some fat kid came up to me and asked me something and I shoved him off a cliff. My friend looked horrified but I told him "It's okay, the nanites will respawn him." Not a recurring one though, that was a one-off.
-
Journalling is a word, but I guess in America it might only have one l.
-
I tried one L and two L's and neither one was accepted.
-
Chrome's dictionary (en-gb) accepts journalling as a word.
-
I have created a custom dictionary fro chrome that includes only misspelled words and installed it on some of my techy friends laptops. I called it en-wtf.
most of them got a good laugh, some of them kept it. one still hasn't noticed (and his typing skills have gotten worse since i installed it)

A thrilling discussion of spell checkers! Will my heart EVER stop pounding!??!?
-
inb4 ben lubar post about Dwarf Fortress spell checkers.
-
Paging @ben_lubar for Dwarf Fortress geekery!
-
Eventually, yes.
You will also stop caring about.... well everything eventually too. That will occur very shortly after the previously mentioned event.
or possibly before, it depends on the exact circumstances involved with the heart stoppage.

You're like Iago the parrot. You have one but it's very tiny, right?

I was thinking more like the Grinch, before his Christmas Eve escapades.

Caught up with that topic, after being AFK all weekend. Time to do some actual work at work this morning.

You have a unique Randall Munroe stick figure drawing? I hate you.

I agreee with whatever @keith just said

While I'm having immense fun in the questions topic at the moment, I now have to focus on the report for my final university module which is due tomorrow.
If that topic carries on at it's current pace, I'll never catch up again.

Have fun!
And if you find anything Tales-from-the-Interview-worthy, don't forget to tell us.

preamble:
ben is the intern, cant do the second task and runs out of time before starting the third, cartman posts a tales from the interview about a terrible intern, ben posts a tales from the interview about a terrible company that expected 8 hours of experienced dev work from a potential intern.
both are wrong, we mock them appropriately.
lets skip the wait and start mocking?

I have several Google+ accounts. How and why Google auto-made one for my Yahoo account is beyond me. And I never use any of them.
-
Have you, at any point in your life, had an account with any Google property with that Yahoo account? If so, there's your answer.
