That list could crash Discourse as it would be significantly longer than the Likes Thread. ;)

That sounds like you are probably missing other basic tools, you should fix that.

Currently:
Not here, though, that's further south. But still.

'Tis a slippery slope. For proof, see my garage.

I have a hot glue gun, which I burn myself with every damn time, and a hammer and nails and screws and manual screwdrivers, but not the Dremel I always wish I had when doing craft projects >.>

You should probably stay away from the power saws then...

I was thinking more she should stay away from soldering irons…

Power saw trumps soldering iron. It is hard to burn flesh that is missing from your body.
-
a hammer
The singular there means you need more. Also your list is missing a large number of really really basic things.
You should probably stay away from the power saws then...
So long as you aren't silly with them it's really hard to hurt yourself with them.

Easier, surely? You could put it on the barbecue

My husband has one of those. I am not allowed to touch
really really basic things.
I didn't have the toolkit in front of me, what are you thinking of?

where?
with honey, caramel or salt?
ONT: inb4 "boss, the fact that this project was understimated doesn't make me the culprit. i told everyone that the planification was crap"
might be time to update mi CV

where?
Here. Though it might have fizzled out already.

Whatever you like; you'll be eating it ;)

I like popcorn with the salt of evaporated tears ...

I think that new avatar is affecting you...

I wondered how people parent without the benefit of alcohol.
Loss of sanity. It helps immensely.

I often hear de-sex used as a generic term.
Alter is used in the world of dog breeding and showing. An altered dog or bitch can compete in agility and such, but cannot be shown for conformance.

Again with the crazy Kiwi jargon...That's not just Kiwi. I understood it perfectly. In fact, I'm pretty sure my parents used to say that about me on occasion.

I recall being called such as well.

get @blakeyrat on your side. I am pretty sure he still harbors some ill will
Toward just about everyone. He is as likely to damage his own side as the other.

So long as you aren't silly with them it's really hard to hurt yourself with them.Disagree. When I was younger, a friend of my parents was a professional contractor — used a power saw all day long, every day. He wasn't silly, just inattentive — once. There is a reason humans have opposable thumbs on both hands; life is harder without one of them.

No worries. I have been transposing opposites lately. I used non-fiction when I meant fiction and earlier I said something about blakey living in the "Pacific Northeast".
-
"Pacific Northeast"
Well, relative to the Pacific Ocean, it is near the northeastern part. :)

Good point. Suck it @blakeyrat.

Imagine, if you will that I actually knew that @Polygeekery was not actually a New Zealander, but I was simply pretending that he was, for comic effect...
I know, I know, on this site of all places...

FWIW, I knew what you were getting at. You were taking the "@another_sam is a Brit" joke to the next level. Unfortunately, you also attended the "@another_sam joke school" and it wasn't funny. ;-)

Pearls before swine, I tell you...

Stop trying to draw me into 10k+ post threads. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Having to remember where users are located on this worldwide forum is a barrier to ... to ... I'm not sure, but it's a barrier to something.

Evidently 98 people disagree with you.

Until this week I thought that @Onyx was American and @aliceif was British. I gave up also.
The only thing I am certain of is that I am no Kiwi. I am not that much of a thieving bastard.

Or....they only put in two digits for that value and it is DiscoCounting.

There are a few people I remember. Blakey lives just a few miles from me (assuming the whois contact data for his domain is accurate, at least to the city). I think most of us remember where Ben lives, due to Milwaukee PC. A few people give it away, like @RaceProUK (why didn't Discourse make that a mention? Oh, now, like full minute after I typed it, it decides to do it. @discoursebot!) in his user name, or @another_sam with the flag in his avatar. The Belch is obnoxious enough about his offensive country that he's pretty much impossible to forget. With a few others, it's come up enough times in conversation that I remember. But most I don't, and usually don't care enough to bother trying.

Are you trying to imply that I need to work on my English?

Finishing the week on a high note, after a full day of messing about with the composer, we now stage posts onto screen without browser jitter
