Can you make "Texas toast" by sticking two slices in
Man, you @accalia'd all over that one.

Status: I swear to God that my uvula
uvualis swollen to the size of a testicle. Aside from being really painful every time I swallow for the last 4 days, it's also making it hard to drift off to sleep. If I lie on my side, I 'snore' every time I breathe in, as various swollen throat parts rattle against each other; if I lie on my back breathing in is easy, but I can't breathe out through mynotenoseasat all,Ionly through my mouth. (Not that the prospect of mouthbreathing fills me with much joy anyway.) Might try sleeping with my face elevated to normal standing position soon, I've got so little to lose here...
Also my wife made a video of me sleeping last night so she could demonstrate the inhuman nocturnal noises I've been making the past few days. It's unclear whether this footage will be submitted for the forthcoming hard-hitting documentary "Reasonably Well-off City Guy is a Bit Ill..."Just highlighting a few real quick on mobile ...

Status: my friend bought a humble bundle that included Sleeping Dogs. It's quite good. Unfortunately, it's also quite large, so my MilwaukeePC router crashed (but only for wired connections, somehow). I wake up to find out my computer's been disconnected from the internet since 3AM. I reboot the router and everything works normally.
Until just now.
Mumble was reading the sentence "Server connection failed: Unknown error" repeatedly. Somehow, Steam chat still worked. Turns out it was the oh-so-helpfully-named "error 10055". I had my friend Google it for me since I couldn't open sockets. http://stackoverflow.com/a/16713105/2664560
Oh, so something didn't close all its sockets. That should be easy enough to fix.
I close the three programs I have open: Google Chrome, Steam, and Mumble. I make sure there are no processes from those programs running via Task Manager. I start the programs back up.
Nope, it took a full system reboot. Apparently Windows had fucked itself up enough to run out of socket handles at a system-wide level.

If you want to critique the whole thing, quote the whole thing in the first place, or at least highlight all the errors you want credit for. Also it was 2:30am and I wasn't particularly commited to accurate spellar.
Pedantry badge denied. Good day sir.

You couldn't even recognize all of the @accalias in the bit I did quote. I don't think you have much of a leg to stand on. Your level of commitment has no bearing on the matter unless you have long history of poor spellaring.
Go ahead and deny me a flag of you wish, but the badges are beyond your power.

Go ahead and sent me a flag of you wish
I think you accidentally grammed your spellar while being pedantic.

Your level of commitment has no bearing on the matter unless you have long history of poor spellaring.
But I'm not sure that I do have a history of poor spellaring?

self.petard->hoist();

But I'm not sure that I do have a history of poor spellaring?
That's my point. Your level of commitment doesn't matter because you don't have a history of poor spellaring. The only person who really does is @accalia.

Sounds like my experience with buggy NFS servers on Linux...

Congratulations.
Unless you're in it and then.... sorry?
-
Haha! Nope. I'm at home in bed. Going back to sleep in a moment.
I could log in and do some work, I suppose. But with 5 days left on this job before I leave . . . well, I wouldn't want to run out of things to do towards the end of the week. I'll just take the free day off.

well then Congratulations! days off are the best!

There are no good pictures of Age of Empires petards on Google. This is a massive failure in the design of the Internet.

Image hosted by Tripod? How the hell does that relate to... Oh, hotlinking forbidden, ok, raw, copy, paste...
-
Hmm, works for me.
You know, I really wished right-clicking a web image and clicking "Copy" then pasting it into Discourse would treat it like an upload and not like a link, just like if I "Copy" out of an open Paint/Paint.NET instance then paste into Discourse.
-
Upload works for me, but Opera has "Copy Image Address" and "Copy Image" as separate entries, which do what it says on the tin:

Dolphin has two-pane view, AFAIK. Can't remember the shortcut, but it should be in the View menu.
As with a browser, I typically just middle click on something and it goes into a new tab. Then I usually drag the tab so it's detached and I have two windows.

Firefox has that too, but somehow Discourse treats them the same. TDEMSYR Discourse!

Hello nightgunner5.
I highly recommend not revealing your steam login username. That's one less piece of information someone needs to steal your account.

I jeff'd 17 posts to an existing topic: The WTF Cooking Show Thread

Status: The HSA provider I rolled my funds over to locks your account when you fatfinger security questions (this is fine). You cannot, however, reset your password, you have to call to get your account unlocked. This didn't even work for me either. The reset function on the site makes you create an entirely new username/password/security questions. Although being told by the representative to use entirely new details, it's actually happy to use the same exact username and overwrite the old login info

Poop first, then meeting. The other way round may not work out so well…

Poop.

Summer-winter is gone. Now we're back to normal February.

I'd love me some 33°F about right now. It was 2°F this morning. <-- Pretend this guy is frozen and not crying too.
