Or, you forgot to set the IL2CPP setting in Unity.
No, I'm fairly sure I was told we're explicitly keeping it there for... raisins.
Aren’t you the guy who does all the work? Why aren’t you in charge of technical decisions?!
Oh, no , this is the new place I've been shuffled into. I still have full control over Hypatia.

@topspin Presumably, those 'raisins' are not manglement ones but nasal-demon ones.
Or FUD. seems they don't want to find out what happens when you flip the switch and try it out, despite that any brokenage that might happen would be reversible thanks to source control...

I actually ordered a 64GB PS Vita memory card from Japan to max out the available space.

Your Cox stops working when it gets wet? That's not good...

When I bought the first (official Vita) memory card, they were all ridiculously expensive at every capacity, but I was able to find a guy selling a 16 GB one locally for a reasonable (ish) price.
e: I forgot to ask, do you also have hacks and/or built-in storage with the slim model?
-
@hungrier I have a launch day PS Vita, so the old one with the nicer screen. And the now useless 3G modem. And yeah, storage for the Vita has always been stupid expensive. They released official storage of up to 32GB here. 64GB was exclusive to Japan. No hacks or anything, it's an all legit Vita.
-
@Atazhaia I've got the same, first gen with OLED screen and 3G. But I've installed hacks and stuff ever since they supported the firmware it was on when I bought it.
-
@hungrier Supposedly there's an SD card adapter for the sim card slot, but I can't figure out how it would work either hardware wise or with mount points in conjunction with the other SD adapter and Vita MC.

@error why the fuck did you pick that difficulty setting then?
It was the bottom setting, so I thought it was the hardest. They didn't have any explanatory text.
Googling indicates Dark is actually the hardest setting (what I wanted), Insane is Hard + Permadeath.
You seem a bit inconsistent on whether or not you consider permadeath to make the game harder.
I'm looking for the Dark Souls experience, where death is frequent and sudden. I wonder if the difficulty setting name is an allusion to that.

He's got the classic Souls roll, but it doesn't have invincibility frames!

Is a burrito a sandwich? Is cereal a soup?
Court rulings have gone either way.
-
@error Not for Paella. You cannot simply leave out a main ingredient and still call it the same.
Next up: You can replace the turkey with goose and still call it a Thanksgiving Turkey. Spaghetti Carbonara will work fine without eggs or cheese.

So I checked my grandmother's Wannee cookbook, which for some reason I didn't expect to have a paella recipe. It did, and it does include saffron, though it also ends the ingredient list mentioning a number of alternative fish and vegetables, and that there's probably as many paella recipes as housewives.
Guess I'm set for a journey of discovery which involves making paella again soon.
It's always an interesting cookbook to read because of its age.
-
@PleegWat I have an old cookbook at home too, where most of the recipes are impossible to follow due to either using obscure ingredients not available in a typical grocery store and/or are for serving 10-12 people.

You can usually scale the recipe as long as you preserve the ratios. I tend to think of recipes as unitless: "one part foo, two parts bar."

This book was originally published in 1910, but it has been continually updated since, and it is still in print. Mine is from the 1960s. I haven't really ran into hard-to-obtain ingredients, though I have had to substitute because some ingredients are preserved differently nowadays, and some naming has changed over time.
There are recipes you can't make any more for other reasons, like boiled lapwing eggs, gathering of which has been illegal for ages now. I'm also quite sure there's a recipe in there involving cow's brains, which are no longer considered safe for human consumption, but I can't find it offhand.

Yes, it's tangentially related in that I was also attending a party.
