Or you could set a trigger on the table so setting the status to completed causes the timestamp to be recorded.
That's what I would have done, and just not set the date at all, but alas, I'm not that interested.
@dkf said in The Official Status Thread:
You still should write your code that way to reduce the ugly.
Write my code in what way?
UPDATE someTable SET `payment_date` = UTC_TIMESTAMP() WHERE `payment_status` <> 'Completed' AND ? = 'Completed' AND id = ? UPDATE someTable SET `payment_details` = ? WHERE id = ? UPDATE someTable SET `payment_status` = ? WHERE id = ? UPDATE someTable SET `payment_transaction_id` = ? WHERE id = ?
I don't see the benefit....
@dkf said in The Official Status Thread:
Or if you're certain you know what's in the row, use the ID of the row and a simple
SET
. Or you couldCOALESCE
so that the value is written only if it is not already written.There are cases in which I want an already-written value to be overwritten though, hence the logic.

@Tsaukpaetra said in The Official Status Thread:
my code
For reference, this is the full (mostly not-my-code-except-the-third-line) code:
$stmt = $this->cm_db->connection->prepare( 'UPDATE '.$this->cm_db->table_name('attendees').' SET '. '`payment_date` = case when `payment_status` = \'Completed\' then `payment_date` when `payment_status` != \'Completed\' and ? = \'Completed\' then UTC_TIMESTAMP() else `payment_status` end ,'. '`payment_status` = ?, `payment_type` = ?, '. '`payment_txn_id` = ?, `payment_details` = ?'. ' WHERE `id` = ? LIMIT 1' ); $stmt->bind_param('sssssi', $status, $status, $type, $txn, $details, $id); $success = $stmt->execute(); $stmt->close();
Edit: I just noticed the
LIMIT 1
in there. Which implies there might possibly be a case in whichWHERE `id` = ?
might match more than one row. Except I know that's never the case due to the table definition.So... why did the coder write it in like that?

I need to file form 1065 for taxes. The stupid fuck IRS.gov "Modernized e-File" website gives me this message after a successful login and I can't do anything else:
Good thing I waited for the last minute to file!
Edit: note the only information I've entered at this point is my username, password, and 2FA code, all of which it accepted.

Status: Git seems to have become extremely confused. I'm extremely confused as well, as I haven't touched it for a month.
So, I'm trashing the whole fucking thing and re-cloning I guess, because I definitely don't have time to figure out what's wrong with it...

You can still download ISOs from MIcrosoft.

the seriously weird.
Are you including the flat-earth "models"?
-
@Tsaukpaetra no. Nor the hollow Earth ones. For example the Fuller projection:

- They don't phone home.
- They run well on older/smaller hardware.
- In the case of Office, little of value has been added since.

Doesn't help if you don't have your serial key or are looking for Enterprise. Both apply here.

Status Rummaging through the contents of app data on my primary disk to see what is filling it up.
Hmmm. Why is PowerBi/PowerQuery hogging almost 10GB of cache ... That seems excessive ... Opens up powerbi desktop and looks at setting "I'm using 200MB of cache!". Opens up excel/powerquery ... "I'm using 150MB of cache!" ... So ... then you won't be missing these other GBs of data won't you guys?
What else do we have? >5GB of cache of some TomTom software. TomTom? Why do I have that crap? Oh yeah, that car gps we used before cell data was cheap throughout the EU. Hmm ... ... do I need this shit? : the application let's you manage it's cache in the setting dialog. Ok, fine ... starts the tomtom app. Your version is out of date! Update now! Dammit! Alright fine! Uh? where did that 5GB go? Looks at a lonely 5kb file left in the cache directory. Did you just clean that as part of the update or something?
Well that's almost 15GB reclaimed then, that should be enough for today.
