@Tsaukpaetra Thanks. That saves my bacon.
I redacted the screenshot and re-uploaded. It's now in the original post.
That reminds me:
The "uploads" page on my profile says "Uploads are public, all visitors can see them." That sounds like a potential source of problems when you only delete your post but don't delete the upload. Or for pictures posted in the Lounge.Correct! It's just a reminder that anyone that has had the opportunity to download an upload may potentially be able to download said file in the future.
Nothing is truly safe, but, eh.

Is that old Edge or Edge-Chrome?Old-Edge.
And the feature I'm trying to use will be Javascript Template Literals to shim HTML content through a service that serves .js files just fine but forces .html files to be TEXT (for security, see).

I would have guessed that but facts are a to on

Status: Pain. The weather yesterday was splendid, and I decided to get out of my stuffy room and go for a walk along the river. I didn't walk all that far, really, but it was almost certainly farther than I've walked at once in years, and maybe as much as I've walked in the entire last month. My leg muscles are not pleased.
Also, Google is at directions to get to the trail along the river. The whole trail is a loop of maybe 10-ish miles (I don't know how long it actually is, and to look it up, but I passed a "9 1/4 mile" milepost yesterday, so it's at least that long) along the river through downtown, over a bridge, back along the other bank and over another bridge. Google leads you to a "destination" where there is no access to the trail; you have to walk back to the main road and down a steepish hill to get to the nearest access. A little further, there is a large park with direct access to the trail, but I didn't know that yet.

Also, I always have to fight with NewEgg and VISA cards. It used to pop up this "verified by VISA" login prompt that I had no idea what to do with. For a long time, I could only get an order through with Discover. Stupid me forgot and ordered a tablet and SD card using a VISA card. Now, apparently, they divide orders into multiple charges that randomly succeed or fail. So guess what was approved and what was declined an hour later. The damnedest part is, this particular card, when I had a falling out with Embarrassment Earth (long story), they couldn't stop an unauthorized charge to save their lives.

The US House of Representatives used IMPEACH!
It's not very effective...

Yeah, it's fucking annoying because that triggers the "hey, you may be fraud!" lockdown. I find Amazon does that too sometimes...

it also makes it hard to reconcile transactions
"I made two orders for a total of 234.97$..... now which ones of these five charges applies to which? and are they final or has the vendor chosen not to apply a transaction yet? is this 23.99$ transaction real? or is it fraudulent trying to masquerade as real so it goes through and they'll hit me like a freight train if i don't catch it now?"

My fucking laptop keeps forgetting that it has a discrete GPU.
Like, after a couple hours of gameplay, the game will crash, and then if I load it up again I get 5FPS... I go into my graphics settings and my GTX is just... absent. And it won't detect it until I reboot!

Sounds like a slow-burn overheat issue? Maybe re-seat the heatsink and while you're at it replace the thermal compound.

It's a Surfacebook, Microsoft's 2-in-1 tablet/laptop hybrid thing. I'm 99.9% sure they don't want me opening it up. This is reinforced by the fact that I see neither seams nor screws anywhere on the body.

Meh, the game runs at a solid 60FPS in 4K with max everything until the GPU shits the bed. Then it's time to reboot!

Does the U.S. have a standardized format for the card/account statement? Because Finland (and probably most of Europe) does. And it includes a reference on who charged you.

Status: More fun reports to write. Includes having to talk to other people at work to finish filling them out. Funtimes. Also plenty pain a bit of everywhere. Leg pains still a thing. Chest pains of unknown cause. Pain when blinking after I managed to poke myself below the eye yesterday.
Got my first Hellfire unique item in my new playthrough of Diablo/Hellfire. My rogue got a bow that shoots fireballs instead of arrows. Meaning it's overpowered at the current level against any enemies not resisting fire. Guess what kind of enemy was the most common at the level of dungeon I was at?
I also found it fun I got one of the most powerful rings in the game at level 3, although not very useful for my low level sorceror as he'd die in 30 seconds if he'd equip it. Gives max resist all, but imposes a constant life drain effect meaning you need a high-level warrior to use it. At least Hellfire gives an official way of trading items between single player characters.

I understand that the problem is not the reference but the amount. You placed an order for X but on your card details you see Y and Z. While Y+Z = X it's still a shitty move.

She did mention fraud attempts.
Of course, there may be some new type of fraud where the big sellers nickel-and-dime a million customers. Commodity providers have done that for years already, but for something like Amazon, it seems like new and risky.

I hate SNMP. I can't automagically generate a mib-file for an embedded system, and doing it by hand is... I have no idea of the actual rules of OIDs, and internet is not much help. The only thing google finds is marketing blurbs for training courses, since no-one else can do OIDs either apparently. But the blurbs are not helpful, and I can't find a clear summary of the actual rules for making enterprise OID trees.
...I'll have to go look if we still have that book on SNMP somewhere. I think it was only 1000 pages.
Simple Network Management Protocol... Whoever came up with that name is asking for a lobotomy.

Status If the CompTIA A+ practice questions are any indication, that certification is a total joke. I think I only missed one, and that was due to the "correct" answer saying that a wireless access point should be set up with WPA authentication ( AFAIK). And I've never done any Group Policy or real network diagnostics--I've been a casual user for years though.
-
@Benjamin-Hall said in The Official Status Thread:

it wasn't when it was first introduced..... but i don't think they've ever updated it and IIRC the certification never expires so saying you're certified from 1965 means about as much as saying "i got first place in a spelling bee when i was six and i got so excited about it i wet myself on stage."
no offense to anyone who did get their A+ certification in 1965....
-
@acrow said in The Official Status Thread:

Without knowing anything else about it, that name alone makes me shudder. You can't just "manage" a network. A network is a collection of arbitrary devices with arbitrary rules.
A protocol like that will either be very limited in scope (i.e. only have a few commands), or more likely, the exact opposite: be so generic and extensible that it's effectively useless.
