«sotto voce»
What @boomzilla doesn't realize is that we've subtly modified meta to show a separate meetup location for any users referred by what.tdwtf. Let's see how that plays out…
«/sotto voce»LOL. I'm not going anywhere near Toronto any time soon.
-
LOL. I'm not going anywhere near Toronto any time soon.
Nor am I. I'm not even going to be on the right continent until November…

I wonder if Seriously WTF Poland is related to Jefferson Fuck Poland of Berkeley Barb fame circa 1967..
Filed Under: Even I am not old enough to remember that reference personally...

Now there is a place a toaster could come in handy! "It looks like you are about to spam all your friends with some idiotic, half-baked conspiracy theory or LifeHack. Would you like to check Snopes first?"
They actually ARE starting to put Related Links to relevant Snopes articles, but not without that warning.

I left FB a while back. If they are even mildly trying to correct the BS and noise that pervades their site, I applaud the change.

I see the driver qualifies for being mentally disabled. ;-)

Isn't it great that everyone carries a cell phone with a camera these days? Google the local non-emergency police #, take a pic, send the informtion to them. That's probably 2 tickets for parking in a handicapped spot right there, at $200-400 each.
-
+4×4 for evil!
-
Would you like some toast?
Look, I don't want any toast, and he doesn't want any toast. In fact, no one around here wants any toast. Not now, not ever. No toast.

French, British IS Fighters Discuss Use Of Yazidi Women As Sex Slaves
As if that wasn't bad enough...
Shinobi: "LOL And how much is it in spare parts? Check and see if you can get kidneys or livers there is demand."
:-\
I know this is the evil ideas thread, but that makes me very sad :-(

You guys!

I wish tech meetups wouldn't always involve drinking, I just don't like being around that scene.
You can't make everyone happy, but seriously
"Wahhhhh it's in a bar. I don't like being in grown up places."
It's a social gathering you moron. You don't have to have alcohol at a bar, just show up and have a good time.

I just wish meetups didn't always involve people and social gatherings. Why can't I have a meetup in the privacy of my house?
-
Give us the address and we'll take care of the rest.

You win the thread.

The sad part is, that still might be better than the one actually coming out next year. On Valentine's Day. Srsly.
File under: How about 'Fifty Shades of Jean Gray', about an all-powerful dominatrix ex-superheroine?
-
'Fifty Shades of Jean Gray',
An excerpt:"Jean", grunted Logan, his voice heavy with need. Still, something was holding him back, some part of him still resisting the proposition laid out before him.
"Scott took four whole beads," purred Jean, her eyes glowing with the fires of the Phoenix Force.
"Do it," he growled, his hatred for that pansy Summers boy overcoming his reluctance.

Came across this this morning, thought it belonged here (in the evil-mastermind-doomsday-device way)
Title hyperbole click-bait aside, if you were to create a Higgs boson by having 100 exa-electronvolts per particle beam, it could trigger a vacuum bubble to form that would expand at the speed of light and collapse all of time and space. (Davros would be proud)
The LHC has so far only achieved 3.5 giga-electronvolts (100 billion times less), so you would need a particle accelerator larger than Earth itself to achieve this. But if the end of the universe is what you want, then that's what it's going to take.
-
But if the end of the universe is what you want, then that's what it's going to take.
We better get cracking.

-
But if the end of the universe is what you want, then that's what it's going to take.
Well, it only expands at the speed of light. Not exactly a quick way to get rid of the universe.

Not in this universe, but in the last one.
Bringing about the end of the universe is generally considered a Very Bad Idea by the people living in that universe, but is universally (see what I did there?) hailed as a Great Thing by those in the universe that follows, given that they owe their very existence to the demise of their predecessor universe and probably want to know what took the evil minds in it so damn long to get a move on.
-
I'm guessing the "could" in there means "there is a small possibility that one entirely hypothetical physical model could maybe happen in real life under some extreme conditions maybe"
-
What about a solaranite bomb? @blakeyrat can explain if I'm not around to do so.
-
I'm going to create duplicates of myself to more efficiently create Von Neumann machines.

+1 for the Tor Johnson (greatest actor in history) movie reference. -1 for the stupid @ tagging of my username.
I've turned off emails BTW, you fucking assholes. But go ahead keep wanking off on harassing me if you want.
-
@blakeyrat, we kid because we care.
-
Sending someone 50 emails in 10 minutes is spamming.
-
@blakeyrat, we did not send you any emails. Discord did.
-
I swear I didn't send @blakeyrat nearly that much.
On the contrary I've been quite tame about my posting specifically not to vomit too many posts that way.
-
Well, someone could go ahead and build it some day. But if it works, they won't be able to brag about it

Maybe we think you REALLY need that penis enlargement pump?

I was not aware that the demise of one Universe was a requirement to creating another?

I've been quite tame today in this, mostly because I don't actually like twisting the knife too much.

I've been going through all of my friends' posts, and the ones that post them with their significant other, if it's something relatively recent, I'm posting "congrats, you two!"

Bonus points if you're fully informed about them breaking up.

A bot that crawls forums and posts controversial political opinions to derail threads. Should be able to identify the general ideology of the forum before posting. Bonus points if it can respond to (some of) its replies to stir up more discussion.
Inspired by Arantor's bot ideas.
