You can't imagine what an honor it is even to be nominated.

@Zecc Fine, but a factorial on 2 is meaningless.

@boomzilla this dilemma is more aptly attributed to the roman catholic church around the time of the first flourishing of the apologetics and you should know this. if this has anything to do with quantum physics per se it would relate to the dual-slit experiment far more readily than to Schrodinger's absurdism. This joke is insufficiently nerdy and should go play Warcraft.

@boomzilla That picture would have been funnier if it used a frame from Groundhog Day.

Not sure if you're making a joke about repeating the same unchanging image, or if it's only a Placeholder for a future image.

@Zecc increase the number of things about which you are not sure, steadily, until you realize... it's the same picture.

- Congratulations on finding the most mangled copy of an xkcd comic I've ever seen.
- At least in Poland, all 24-hour stores close up at midnight for 10-15 minutes everyday, so they can do the daily tally required by law. They also take the opportunity to do other stuff, like cleaning. And yes, it is annoying.
-
@Gąska if they kept two tills and rotated by day, could they operate through midnight and corner that 15 minutes of the market?
Oh, sorry. This is in Poland.

People going to a store at midnight are buying booze and/or cigs - they'll wait.
Or so I heard.

Or so I heard. My willingness to wait for booze is minimal and for cigs is actually negative, measured at high noon when both are highest. Those 15 minutes are worth a lot of money.

Weird, I think of 2D spatial trees. And then the Ny-Mets for some reason.

There are many threads this could go in, but I found this one first.

Why do so many Unix utility names consist of 2-4 letters?
It keeps the 1-letter names free for important stuff.
-
@Gribnit <serious> You try using a terminal over a 300 baud serial line and you'll see why the utility names are so short. </serious>
