A benchmark for @accalia, @RaceProUK and their friends?
In that case it would be a fire-starting benchmark. It can ramp any GPU up to high temperatures pretty quickly, and a cheap GPU with poor cooling could probably light fur on fire.

In a way, yes -- it uses (or used) a fur-effect shader as a main component of the benchmark, AIUI, hence the name.
-
As opposed to Furrmark? Joel would be disappointed.
EDIT: Oops, dropped the 's' in the URL. It was pointing to Jeff Furr's webpage instead, a completely different net.nut entirely.
OTOH, he does maintain the Dysfunctional Family Circus archive, so it's all good.

That's what I guessed from the name.
Aside: My GPU would fail, utterly. It's so old and/or low-end that Blender doesn't even try to use it for rendering — software only. Even with 4 3GHz cores, rendering is slow, and can render the entire system unusable for several minutes.

Yeah, displaying furry things is a good way to slow-cook GPUs. Not quite as good as having a furry thing laying atop them, though.

That's got to be a fake. I mean, who gets a full signal on T-Mobile...?

who gets a full signal on T-Mobile...?
I just checked and I actually have full signal with them right now. At least they're not O2, who don't seem able to keep a strong signal anywhere on my route to work for longer than it takes to get my email updates…
-
-
I can think of a few, straight off the bat...
-
-
For the longest time, I had a better reception with O2 in the middle of the Lüneburger Heide than in the middle of Hamburg.

This Hello Kitty definition of a "necklace".
-
"I'm helping!"
-
I wonder what the rest of the second definition of “needle” is. That's got just enough missing…
-
From context, I would suggest "knitting". Had it been a "hypodermic" needle then hollow would have been in the description :)

Maybe more wrong than bad:

That's the thing you pick up on? I didn't even make it that far. Look at his notation:
$15.000,000,000,000
He want's to wire $15. The rest is just fancy padding.

You give me $20 and your identity and I give you $15. It's a net profit for you of $-15 and an identity!

I think you messed something up there …
| Target | Ben -----------+-----------+------------ | $-20 | $+20 | $+15 | $-15 | -Identity | +Identity -----------+-----------+------------ Result | $-5 | $+5 | -Identity | +Identity
Where did you get that the target would end up with $-15 and an extra identity?

My brain doesn't work this early in the morning. Your math is correct.

Just don't let him run loose with that apostrophe!

-
My brain doesn't work this early in the morning.
You posted that in the afternoon in your time zone.
-
Yes, but what about boules, baguettes and other types of bread loaf? Don't they deserve apots... apophis... apostasy... epiphany... the floaty comma thingie?

I still haven't gotten out of bed.

Your physical location and slothfulness has nothing to do with the time of day. I was in bed all day yesterday due to a migraine, but that does not mean that there was no afternoon or evening yesterday.

-
I still haven't gotten out of bed.
That does not change the fact that it is no longer morning; it is now afternoon, regardless of how long it has been since you awoke (or have not yet awakened, as the case may be).
How about we just say
My brain doesn't work
and leave it at that.this early in the morning. Your math is correct. My brain does weird things.
Um, yeah.

Fox Butterfield, is that you?
-
Yes, but what about boules, baguettes and other types of bread loaf?
Balls, drum sticks, and other kinds of what?
-
Someone should actually reply to them with that question.
-
Round:
Boule:
Baguette:
And no, I don't know for certain what, if anything, the difference between a round and a boule is.

The Samsung ARM dhromebook is available at stores, so why are they being made in factories?

Sorry, badly-executed joke based on different translations of 'boule' and 'baguette'.
-
I don't think I'd want to eat that with butter on it.
-
That's ok, you do not need to use butter.
