All people are shit. If I'm to spend most of my time with one of them, she'd better at least be nice to look at.

I think the owner of a model agency could find some actual models to sleep with, except maybe:
He was an owner of a model agency, he told me so !

@coldandtired Didn't eye tattoos already feature in this thread?
As an aside: the article mentions
She is strongly advising people against considering the treatment, which was advocated by Californian bio-hackers in 2015, who claimed that scelra tattoos gave them night vision.
Why the fuck would anybody believe they get night vision from injecting dye into their eyes?

I first parsed this reading "left" as the opposite of right rather than the verb.

@obeselymorbid Sounds like you should marry a twenty-year-old super model. I'll keep my eyes open for the wedding announcements.

Unfortunately I'm not that wealthy, so I had to settle for a pretty girl of my age, way more attractive than me. From the fact
she's still alivewe are still together, you can deduce she's been faithful as far as I know.
-
/me kinda shrugs I'm more the compersion type myself... I think. I have never actually, you know, been in a serious relationship involving even one person other than myself, never mind two or more.

https://www.jasonpearce.com/2016/01/20/randomize-windows-updates-via-powershell-and-pswindowsupdate/
Is getting WSUS up and going on your network too hard because it wants to bomb all your computers with hundreds of updates all at one time? Do you lie awake at night wondering if you've done everything you possibly could to piss off your users? Are you concerned you're not doing enough to contribute to the tendency of end users to disable Windows Updates so it stops interrupting their
important workalien shooting? Then try this method! Randomly select a few missing updates every day to apply to computers on your network! But wait, there's more! The selection will be different per computer, so your help desk workers can get in on the excitement too, always wondering which updates will break on which computers each morning!

Then don't let your machines get that far behind. At that point it's easier just to re-image them. If you are using WSUS, I suppose you can put them in a group for which you only incrementally approve updates. ... yeah. I was going to say it's an interesting idea that might have some merit if you're that far behind. But it's not.
Freaking slipstream updates into your distribution shares. It's not that hard. I feel sorry for organizations that have cowboys like this guy.

Making a "Thor's hammer" with a big capacitor charged to mains voltage:
Also, nothing I saw in the video was anywhere near a visually impressive as the intro image, although I didn't watch it all that closely. Maybe it's not a photoshop and they got really lucky with one frame of the video.

Be ever so glad they didn't put a charging circuit instead of just a direct connection to the mains...

The capacitor they used was rated at 400V; they're already charging it to 340V (240V main -> peak voltage of 240 * 1.414 -> 340). If they tried to use a charging circuit to get a higher voltage, the result might indeed be spectacular — once.
-
@hardwaregeek The way I read their circuit, it seems that the mains plug will also be at the charged voltage. Probably why they disconnect it so gingerly.
Anyway, I ended up watching a few more of their videos. One features a 80W laser tube. Class 4. Class 4 means that diffuse reflections are potentially detrimental to continued eyesight.
Pretty sure this isn't the way to do laser safety.

No, not to get the voltage higher, just to make it portable so they don't have to return to the plug.

It uses a diode rectifier to convert the AC to DC. Current can only flow through it one way.

Emulating ther assumed thought process: The vehicle is broken and can't move on its own. How do we move it? If we push it, it might not be able to stop itself, so how do we move it? Well, a forklift doesn't move very quickly, and can lift it... Maybe we can just lift it up and take the trailer away from under it? Yeah! That sounds smart!
-

It could have worked, if they'd checked 3 things:
- Were the forks long enough that the car would not be off balance? FAIL, obviously.
- Was the forklift heavy enough that the weight of the car wouldn't tip it over? This is the failure I was expecting before I watched the video.
- Is anything on the bottom of the car going to be damaged by lifting it in a way it wasn't designed to be lifted? Answer unknown — and moot, due to failure #1.

@hardwaregeek The worst part is that it seems there is a person inside the car.
On the side where more weight made the car more likely to roll.
