Don't shit all over other people's stuff

Leave the thread title alone, please.
See? You're nice now. How long until you @Blakeyrat out about it?
Better put something at the top of the OP so people get the message or something...How about you clowns just stop shitting all over other people's stuff? You don't have to change the title. It's not funny. It doesn't help people find the topic. It's fucking irritating.
-
It's not funny.
Sometimes it is. Stop being a cockhole. This one wasn't even your title and you are still bitching.
-
I'm just lending some support.
-
Did they ask for your support?

Did I ask for your snark?

Did I ask for your snark?
As a matter of fact, it's in the TDWTF TOS, so yes, you did.
-
That's ok. I had one left from a student meeting earlier today, so you got it free of charge.
It will only cost you $2.99 in postage

I'd ask who's enough of an idiot to change the title on blakey's topic about not changing topic titles - but I know the answer.

Why not?
Also, you're an asshole.
Why did you keep editing this thread's title and post horses?

Why people abuse all topic titles except the ones created by @blakeyrat?
Because he has asked us not to, and because we're not a bunch of total dicks.

Now you will learn why not. Enjoy the wrath of the infamous rat of the WTDWTF sewers, you were brave enough to ask for it :--)

Here's what the moderators are doing to help me:
- Creating global notices out of posts in my thread, making it then impossible (apparently?) to move all the off-topic posts to another thread.
"Why would they do that?" you ask, "why wouldn't have have a thread somewhere specifically designed to store global notices, instead of just using some random one?" you might say. I do not have answers for you.
- When I asked the moderators to do something about fbmac's constant harassment of me, by changing the title of this thread, they instead locked the entire thread. Which is not only punishing me for being the victim of harassment, but also doesn't solve the actual problem because fbmac's "trust level" lets him edit any of my other threads.
So yeah, the moderators are doing a great job. I'm really happy with the service I've received.
In fact, due to the moderators' strange and inexplicable move of using my random thread as a global notice, they actually have made it impossible (apparently?) to actually moderate this thread. So that was really a well-considered strategic move, there.
And none of this would be so bad if I hadn't predicted this exact scenario and asked for remediation of it something like 3 months ago. Of course, nothing was done then, and now we're here.

Fuck you. I told you that it was a misunderstanding.
Plus, it's not super-unusual for a thread owner to ask for a thread to be locked when it's gone to shit, at least from what I've seen elsewhere.
-
I understand that it was a misunderstanding, but that doesn't change anything I put in that post. (For the record, I'd never ask a thread of mine or anybody else's to be locked, as it's kind of against the entire point of posting on a forum.)
Look, if I had known at the time that this was a super magical thread that the mods had already decided (without consulting me, natch) should supply all global notices to the entire forum, maybe I'd have asked to keep it locked. It still boggles my mind that any moderator thought that was a good idea.
Look, whatever, I'm hitting mute, I'm out of here, and now I can enjoy the next two days constantly reverting fbmacs changes to my threads. Whee.

Creating global notices out of posts in my thread,
The current – and previous two – global notice is not linked to your thread. It has it's own, dedicated, unlisted thread.
The rest of complaint #1 shall now be ignored as invalid.
When I asked the moderators to do something about fbmac's constant harassment of me, by changing the title of this thread, they instead locked the entire thread. Which is not only punishing me for being the victim of harassment, but also doesn't solve the actual problem because fbmac's "trust level" lets him edit any of my other threads.
Do you have any suggestions that wouldn't be complete overkill considering that this will no longer be an issue three days from now?
And none of this would be so bad if I hadn't predicted this exact scenario and asked for remediation of it something like 3 months ago. Of course, nothing was done then, and now we're here.
As you have been told – repeatedly, in public – the only ways to resolve your complaint are to eliminate TL3 (sorry, not happening because Lounge) or move off of Discourse, which is scheduled to happen this weekend. I suppose you could have forked Discourse and asked us to install your fork, or you could have just left, but I don't see either of those happening.
-
You won't see that post anyway because you're a special who insists that everyone conform to your demands. And if you don't get your way, you leave the thread. Of course, like every other special , you refuse to modify your behavior to meet other people's demands unless someone with a bigger bat comes along and makes you.
-
When I asked the moderators to do something about fbmac's constant harassment of me, by changing the title of this thread
That is harassment? Really? You are one delicate little fellow.
Which is not only punishing me for being the victim of harassment
So you are saying that they are victim blaming?
So yeah, the moderators are doing a great job. I'm really happy with the service I've received.
You should ask for a refund of the monies that you have paid.
And none of this would be so bad if I hadn't predicted this exact scenario and asked for remediation of it something like 3 months ago. Of course, nothing was done then, and now we're here.
Goddamn, how many times do we have to go over this particular bit of bullshit? You know the fucking reason. It has been pointed out to you multiple times.
-

Since we're moving off Discourse, does that mean @blakeyrat gets TL3?

Private conversations have transpired (beyond the whole "likes" requirement thing) which make it clear that he does not care to be TL3. As such, I do not believe that there is a reason to automatically grant him TL3 status just because of the migration. If he were to ask for TL3, or make it clear his position had changed, it would be addressed by staff at that time.
-
Oh, I was under the impression that he wanted TL3, but if he just wants TL3 to cease to exist, that can be done by renaming it after the import.
-
It's not even that. He doesn't care if they exist, he just doesn't want them to have the ability to edit anything but their own stuff.
-
The current – and previous two – global notice is not linked to your thread. It has it's own, dedicated, unlisted thread.
It was linked as in "containing a hyperlink that pointed to a post in this thread".
Usually, things linked in notices should be in official (whatever that notice is about) threads.
-
I didn't see these global announcements, just something about the migration.
If he wasn't such a bad sport about this I would want to rename this thread to "Global Announcements Thread"

If you do, include emoji. That's where you went wrong. Blakey loves emoji in thread titles.
