Infinite Flamewar
-
I'm not sure how this contributes to an infinite flamewar?
-
Jordan might be decent looking, but she's why he...
...wound up like this.
-
-
-
Meh. Too skinny
-
Suits me, less competition.
-
I've been out of that competition for about 20 years.
-
Meh. Too skinny
That makes you some sort of -phobe, but I CBA to look up which one.
I've been out of that competition for about 20 years.
Just because you are on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu.
-
doesn't mean you can't look at the menu.
I'd have everything on Sarah Chalke's menu.
-
-
I read the title of the video was "Erika shooting Serbs" and thought that was a bit harsh...
-
I would make a joke, but this is not the actual thread that is the infinite flamewar.
-
That thread is now #5 on the list of most replies.
It may not be the infinite flamewar, but from outward appearances it does appear to be a perpetual motion machine.
-
Can't be more than a few days from #4.
-
Yeah, the growth rate has been drastic. If Jeff sees it, he will shed a tear for all the ways we are .
-
I'm becoming quite impressed at the way you and I can be so utterly repulsively pointlessly emptily combative in there without triggering a single social-engineering orange toaster. Has Jeff just given up on civilizing the Web by technological means?
-
Good point. I would be unlikely to get one as I am the founder of the feast, but I would not be terribly surprised if in the future once a thread reaches a point Discourse starts nagging to take it to some manner of chat session.
I have also been surprised that this group can be ruthlessly at each other's throats in one thread, and civil in another. With a few exceptions of course.

What happens in the mosh pit stays in the mosh pit.
-
Maybe here, but every other place on the internet it would bleed all over everything like a hemophiliac.
-

We can prevent that from happening by not replying any mor.... FUCK!
-

Now that I think about it, it is as though if you get a group of good-natured assholes together, they will be good-natured assholes to each other.
If you have a community that is the equivalent of an internet cesspool, no amount of technology can change that.
Discourse's gamification and CDCK is really just trying to spray perfume on a cesspool and then deeming it safe to swim in.
-
without triggering a single social-engineering orange toaster
I just got the toaster on the Lisp thread.
-
Oh I look at the menu. I'm just not buying, so no sort of competitor to anyone who is.
-
Mucho
-
-
-
doesn't mean you can't look at the menu
My ex-wife would strenuously (and expensively) disagree.
-
-
Meh, it is a meta topic. Unless there are others?
-
The first rule of menu browsing is that you don't talk about menu browsing with your wife.
-
it is a meta topic
I don't remember whether it was meta. I read the first couple of posts and muted it.
-
<my body is not invalid!
-
The first rule of menu browsing is that you don't talk about menu browsing with your wife.
That's also the second rule, and possibly the third.
-
Maybe here, but every other place on the internet it would bleed all over everything like a hemophiliac.
Forget what I said. It is bleeding everywhere, as evidenced by an asshole Australian who insists on @-mentioning me all over the place.
If the mods want to lock things down, it won't piss me off. Otherwise, I may join the band of people who are muting the threads as they hemorrhage all over the place.
-

Meh, I told my wife before we married that I would not stop wanting to have sex with other women. Getting married only meant that I would not do so.
-
So you still did while you were engaged!?
My wife and I discuss people we find sexy. She's too much of a flirt to be restricted to flattering me
-
You can only spend so many hours a day talking about John Goodman.
-
You can only spend 24 hours a day doing whatever.
-
So you still did while you were engaged!?
No, poor phrasing on my part.
My wife and I discuss people we find sexy. She's too much of a flirt to be restricted to flattering me
Likewise. We used to do that stupid couple thing where you make the list of people you have a hall pass for if ever given the chance. At the time, we lived close to a local university. When 8 college girls moved in across the street and I tried to add them to my list, we stopped playing that little game.

If you get enough college girls together, at least one of them will be as hot or hotter than any celebrity on your list. That's why the hall pass thing is stupid.

Yeah, and one of them was a gorgeous natural-born redhead.

You mean like Irish Girl?
-
-
How dare you besmirch Irish Girl. You clod.
That isn't Irish Girl. That's hand holding puppet tank girl. Asshole.

Not going to post a picture of that. Not even for a joke.
You have a picture of Irish Girl's asshole? I didn't know she was big enough to be involved in that celebnude leak from before.

It is now #4.
